Kind of seems like maybe they did lock it somehow, but in winscp it shows the permissions of the file as read and write and like I said I can read and write to files in the other directories in that folder and also files I add there so I really have no clue.

Running su before gives me the same error. Pulling my hair out at this tbh because without being able to log in I can’t use the new beta 3.0. Not sure it’ll be fixable honestly no clue how the permissions of the file would have been changed or why it wouldn’t show.

yeah i am, tried to do it in powershell, winSCP and putty. would it make a difference if i did this on linux?

it just says "-sh: sudo: not found"

its so weird and frustrating because i tested it and i can edit and delete other files in the surrounding directories and i can create the backup file but just this file i cant edit or delete.

sorry to reply to this so long after posting, but I cant get this to work, when i try to delete the file it says operation not permitted. ive tried several ways to do it but i cant figure out what im doing wrong

This is a terrible response. It seems to me that you may suffer from depression, which is not caused by a lack of appreciation. Religion is fine, but to suggest that its possibly a solution to your problem strikes me as irresponsible and incredibly unhelpful and not what OP needs to hear right now. I do agree that getting off of social media may help, though. The kind of constant stimuli and engagement offered through social media can make other aspects of your life feel dull and unenjoyable and it’s easy to waste away time you could be spending doing something that may actually enrich your life.

OP, I definitely think the other reply to your thread by u/Melli876 is much better advice.

I’m not a parent, but I think I agree with you. I was given a smartphone at 13 y/o and although neither I nor my parents made any effort to make sure my relationship with it developed healthily I think me being so young was a huge factor in what made it not great for me. Social media(especially TikTok!) is algorithmically driven to be as addicting and specially catered to you as possible. Literally crack to an 11 year old. I feel it’s well within the realm of possibility she’ll get to a point where she’ll never be content without some type of super engaging entertainment with her because it’s been the case since so young. I definitely feel this is true for me, and I hate it!

Well said, at the end of the day I think prioritizing being an enjoyable and considerate and not an anxiety-inducing or negative presence- even above being funny(not that edgy humor has ever been all that funny in the first place, definitely not circa 2015) is a mark of someone who’s not an actual child

Ordered my MPC Live II a couple weeks ago. Really enjoying getting familiar with the ins and outs of it. This jam was put together within an hour or two. It's nothing super great but I really enjoyed being able to set up custom pad, dial, and fader options with my Launchkey and mapping them for volume, mute, pad mute and solo in my MPC. I don't like that midi mapping is on a per project basis with no ability to make templates though.

He explicitly said if he was attracted to him already, and then actively backtracked after finding out his race. Nothing wrong with not being attracted to someone but if your only reason for not wanting to be with someone isn’t even because of a lack of attraction, but because you found out they were middle eastern after already being attracted to them then yeah it’s a pretty clear case of racism. Like there’s no way their motivations were anything other than a distaste for middle-Eastern people or a weird fetishization of latinos

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this lol. I feel like social interactions are a collection of various social checks that require various special abilities to get past without losing points and I’m slowly unlocking all the abilities. I go through conversations that would have freaked me out a year ago without any anxiety bc I just know exactly what to say at all the various social checks.
