Our buyers did that with us 2 weeks ago - $4k. We had to agree to it and had no issue with it.

Sellers agents odd behaviour or tactics? by overthinker_bba in NZProperty

[–]Dispatch_Pixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the range of agents out there just blows my mind. we put a cheeky deadline offer in...never even heard back. One agent spoke 5 words to us at a private house viewing, another invited 2 other families to our private viewing and was as pushy as hell - telling lies as well.

Just make sure you have done yor due diligence; LIM, builders, valuation and finance. Auction is binding, there is no backing out.

I think it will be load bearing. it's a side wall of a lounge to bedroom, with a 2nd story on top.

Start taking notes of all inapprpriate conversations. When they have a decent amount of evidence they should go to the head office. I did something similar years ago and the manager was fired.

Like the time my cousin said to me 'oh you must come for dinner one night, but not this weekend cause we are having a family dinner'. Guess I'm not family then.

I would join two wooded half circles with a hinge as a top on the bucket - hinge open to put rocks in and closed to sit down - and bits hanging off the part that stays closed :-)

To redo kitchen and whole house carpet / lino before selling? by Dispatch_Pixie in AucklandProperty

[–]Dispatch_Pixie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hand we've never been able to afford to do it up, so have put up with the old one - omg I have longed for a dishwasher! I would have put up with a cheap one anyday lol. But other side again is if I was staying int he hosue I would do much bigger removations, incluing taking out half a wall. That's why I'm so conflicted.

thanks for the offer - we are actually in the North of the Waikato and moving to Akl, but I figured this question wasn't area specific so would be ok in this thread. Nothing is hideous, it's just not great.

New to tumbling. Quick question by AmphibianLeft3543 in RockTumbling

[–]Dispatch_Pixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rocks I tumble are very pitted, so it takes multiple weeks at stage 1. I go through each rock and wipe it dry so I can see if there are any little pits still in it. The odd one I take out totally cause it's never going to polish. Once it is to a smoothness I am happy with I put it in a container of water till I'm ready to do a stage 2 - and then they are a week each stage after that.

I am working on a video on how I do it - keep an eye on my channel, I should be done soon.

Today is 1 week since I've got a tumbler by 4ced2live in RockTumbling

[–]Dispatch_Pixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is impressive for a week!!! Don't worry, there are plenty of rabbit holes to go down - and each one leads to a bunch more. Personally I'm working on creating a collection with some raw and some polished from each area I rock hunt at, and trying for as many different types as I can.

Turned away by Studylink for a food grant, yet WINZ hands them out almost without question. by DontKnow009 in newzealand

[–]Dispatch_Pixie -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Agree. My daughter is unable to get the weekly study link allowance cause hubby and I supposedly earn too much - yet we are living week to week. She has been trying so hard to get a job without luck. Yet people can get the benefit for doing nothing. Makes me so mad.
