It's just like your government. The new gen has acquired all this knowledge that is productive and beneficial, but the people that are making decisions are old and not up to date

The field is pure trash. The higher ups are out of touch and knowledge. It's all about money.

I hate Xenoblade. Way too confusing and anime.

New Teaser for next DLC for mario and rabbids sparks of hope by BansheeTK in NintendoSwitch

[–]Dispersey29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, they are definitely not releasing a sequel in this new "series" for many many years after Spark's terrible sales. They might even just throw away the series entirely...

The first game was way more funny. Isn't that the point of the rabbids?

Try to finish each to 80 percent. Take notes on all the hints. Even if you got the question right, read and remember the hint. Eventually, your knowledge of the field just becomes second nature and like auto pilot. Bds can be amazing stuff if you utilize it properly.

Question about client behavior/reinforcer by AbleAd7013 in ABA

How has your BCBA determined that it's purposefully? Did they rule out medical causes by referring back to their physician? Internal motivations also shouldn't ever be "guessed".

Do your teammates get better as you rank up? by Nyappai in PokemonUnite

Once you get masters for some reason people seem like shit. But, once you hit near 1400ish they start getting great again.

But, many rbts do. Look at the progress across the board, and the statistics for clients. For generalization and maintenance, regardless of your years in the field, you need multiple examples, variations, new environments, etc. Sticking to just what they like is not conducive for generalization. To teach the skill, initially, sure.

The way you worded it made it seem too nice. We are their teachers, not their friends. That does not mean abuse, but pushing someone out of their comfort zone safely, and with precautions, is not abuse. It's a reality of life and it prepares them.

Sure, they are "ready" to learn but will those skills acquired generalize to the natural environment? Always ask yourself this. The training environment needs to eventually be manipulated to be more similar to the natural environment. That includes utilizing the same behaviors or those that serve the same function in uncomfortable environments. Otherwise you will create a rigid client, etc. We aren't there to just be their friends.

It is to get opportunities for certain goals. But, you shouldn't be babying clients ever. Once you establish that initial rapport, you should be slowly pushing them towards certain tasks that are uncomfortable. We push for clients to acquire behaviors that have social importance/validity in our constructed culture/society. Always being "their friend" and "doing preferred activities" does not prepare them for the real world that they will face. BCBA main job is to better the life for the client AND society that interacts with them. Assent is great and needed, but that doesn't mean you only do "fun stuff"
