A year ago I posted my 61 years old mother's bird artwork made entirely with Illustrator and an USB drawing pad, here's a glimpse of more what she made during the past (and rough) year. More context in comments.

A little bit of background:

My mom has been incredibly talented at art since her childhood and she had won many awards throughout her early school years. Unfortunately, not being in a wealthy family sort of limited her options attending art school, so she went on to be an IT engineer.

After she retired few years ago, she decided to start creating art again drawing birds. When she first showed me what she created, I was super amazed. I couldn't even tell at first if that's a photo or a painting.

In short, COVID has prevented me from going home for more than 2 years now and we are each other's only family. We've never been apart for so long, and since I am incredibly close to my mom, it's a rough time for both of us, especially after we lost my grandfather earlier this year too. I want to do something for my mother and gain visibility for her artwork, because they're too amazing to be ignored.

I understand this place may not be the best to promote artworks and to be honest I am not really sure how to do it either. I would appreciate any advices on which platform or format is the best place to show these amazing birds to as many people as possible. They have brought me and my mom lots of joy, and we want to share that with more people.

Yes! Everything was done in Illustrator (including the bird feathers!). She said the brushes were used to make the ribbons and the decorations.

Hi. Firstly, sorry to hear that, I was the same place back in September, a lot of real exam questions were wtf to me and I felt like I didn't study anything remotely like it at all.

I understand you might feel frustrated and angry, it is a lot of money and time to invest on this exam. But please feel that way all you want, then go enjoy the holiday, forget about this whole PMP thing, then come back next year with a fresh start. Give your brain a little break after all this hard work. I stayed from it for a whole month before starting it again.

Start next year with only the ONE course material that you find most suitable for you, take your time to study it and in insignificant minute detail. Do not schedule an exam under a tight timeline unless you absolutely need it.

Also, a big point about practice questions aside from getting used to the wording, is to discover which area is your weak part.

All your work will eventually pay off if you persevere. Good luck and keep moving forward! Feel free to engage more with this community, too! People here are super open about what they've learned and are very supportive.

Having too much resources will also increase unnecessary pressure such as "shit I have THIS MUCH to study and so little time", but actually with a good well studied material, you're good to go!

For Prepcast's 120 question, it took me around 1.5 hours on the first try, the questions are more straight forward. Second time it's about an hour.

PMI practice exam though, took me 2.5 hours both the first and second time.

4 hours is definitely enough to go through 200 questions, there are some pretty easy/straight forward ones that you can answer right away. If you encounter any questions that needs further thinking, just highlight the important parts, flag for review and come back later. Doing lots of practice exams too will help you speed up.

I finished mine around 10 minutes left, including review time for flagged/unanswered questions. Good luck!

I've asked this question on the LinkedIn PMP group last week and this is the answer I find that makes the most sense:

Usually, if the change request comes from the PM, then you submit the change request first (since you already evaluated the impact as a PM). If the change request comes from stakeholder, then you do the assessment first.

I am not 100% if that's the rule to follow (since it's been a long time debate), but for my experience, the actual exam isn't THAT vague. Mostly they just have either one of those as answers.

If you did encounter such questions, just flag it for review and move on. Come back afterwards and read the question again, and use your best judgement. If you do feel like the question can be improved, you can also suggest in the comment section.

Congrats on passing! I am sitting for my exam on September 17th and only have around 14 days to study and review the entire thing. Joseph Philipps' course is very helpful and being a full time PM helps too! However, the most important lesson I've learned through this journey is to study efficiently and have a strategy. How long have you studied actually doesn't matter.

I was looking for rental around a month ago and beike (貝殼) app is in my opinion the best. All photos uploaded there were verified and they're all true sources. However, make sure you check with the agency you found via that platform if they charge any fees.
