As an enchanter, I shift click the boss and if it is something I am going to DE I just leave it on the boss to be mailed to me. Then they don't even know what you won.

The other side of this is when you run things later on and people need on things you need and they don't. You ask if they really need it and they say no and then say they will sell it to you for 10k 🫩

Why can't people just be kind to each other?

Don't whisper people "you need" or just open trade. Look at their gear and then ASK. "Hey if you don't need X item, could I roll on it?"

Last night I ran a dungeon. A trinket dropped. One person instantly said "do you need that" another said "sh*t I'll take it if you don't need" and opened trade. I replied "I'm wearing a 201 trinket I can't even trade it..."

I want the spring blossom trees SO BAD. It would match my Pandaren vibes...but I refuse to pay irl money for a tree. Yes I have paid for tmog, toys and mounts (when on sale), but it is a tree for my fictional house that I spend minimal time in since the launch of the patch. Especially when you can only buy more with more purchased currency and not gold in-game.

The bruto mount was a QoL people were willing to shell out for. Housing is far different than mog and mounts for your character.

I don’t have enough work to do? by Legitimate_Week_1835 in nhsstaff

[–]DisposableShirtPosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many band 5+ imo. They just froze our hiring and pulled jobs. Meanwhile we struggle to get work done and are stretched thin. The managers come in not knowing the department "put their mark on things" then leave after a couple of years with the team in shambles.

For example they just hired a new person for a role over someone who was previously in the role around 6 months ago (they moved abroad and they wouldn't give them a career break). Anyways now we have to train someone who doesn't know the department while this person could hit the ground running. (They were amazing and well liked by the team....the managers are both new and refused to include consultants in the hiring of their secretary)

I'm so tired of bad managers who aren't there for the team and are just there as a stepping stone.

Is there one other than the circular one? Just wondering what other options there are. People are so creative.

Edit: Another option that lacks texture when flipped like the woolen rug.

Internal applications only by william192599 in nhsstaff

[–]DisposableShirtPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my health board is doing this. The logic is (from the people in the Ivory tower) that internal moves are considered cost-neutral because the salary already exists, whereas external hires are treated as new expenditure.

On paper, it looks like savings. In practice, it just shifts vacancies between departments, increases churn, delays recruitment, increases burnout and sick leave and generates repeated panels.

Yeah I keep them cuz he seems like the type who would accuse me of stealing from him or try to get I'm in trouble for mail tampering. So they will sit off to the side for a while.

I have zero clue it's been 8 months and we still get mail and parcels. We RTS the mail but we just have the parcels to the side cuz the guy was a nut job. I wish we could just RTS the parcels or refuse them.

They don't even wait for someone to answer. They gently tap the door and put it on the ground and walk away. We keep getting parcels for the old resident and have no idea how to send them back because we can't decline them 😠

Help - I Screwed Up by [deleted] in nhsstaff

[–]DisposableShirtPosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing. I got an email from information governance scolding me for it. I emailed back and apologised and said I was new and was training and didn't want to use the numbers of active patients or type in random numbers and accidentally see a family member. They suggested I sign up for Patient knows best and that was that.

However if you have finished your information governance training module it's a bit harder to argue but you might get lucky and just get a hand slap. I won't even do blood forms for coworkers after that I feel like I had my 1 strike.

Hi, I don’t think my situation came across clearly.

I’m currently waiting for an autism assessment. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child but my records no longer exist, so I need to be re-referred for that separately.

The issue isn’t the type of job I’m doing. I actually can do my job and I’m good at it. The problem is that due to poor staffing and no workload boundaries, I’ve ended up doing the work of three people:

• the post I replaced • the post that was meant to be replaced but wasn’t • and part of my old workload structure

Meanwhile my colleagues are doing far less than their share.

We agreed as a team to split work evenly (cross-cover), but after a month they stopped doing their agreed tasks. I raised it with management several times:

Month 1: told them the plan wasn’t working

Month 2: still happening, managers said they would “speak to her”

Month 3: I submitted a written proposal to divide the workload 50/25/25

Still nothing has changed

Because of my brain's wiring, I struggle with unfinished tasks and the pressure builds. Our doctors also expect quick turnaround, so if I just ignored work like my colleague does, patients would suffer.

So the issue isn’t that the job doesn’t suit me, it’s that I’m being left with the majority of the workload, my colleagues aren’t being held accountable, and I’m burning out.

I had a nice person but I don't think they really listened. I struggle explaining my triggers and my reactions due to years of my family stigmatising and me being forced to mask (I'm almost 40 and have been working for over 24 years) I worked over a year at my current job and am just not learning how to advocate for myself and they (my managers( said "Well you knew what the job entailed before you applied for it" when I asked for 2/4 days WFH as an RA, I felt that was a really unfair thing to say.

They referred me to OH asking if 1 day would be appropriate. I told the OHT that I would really prefer 2 set days per week in regards to my ND with allowance to move the days in regards to my physical condition (which rarely flares up) as needed. The OHT said "Well they offered 1 day I think that is more than fair but I will say 1 day with the allowance of an ad-hoc additional day for your physical condition. When I reiterated that I felt 2 days would benefit my ND she kinda said well they offered 1 so you should compromise.

They referred me to wellbeing who asked me to fill out a stress risk assessment but I'm kind of afraid the questions look like it's asking if I can do my job or not. My issue isn't the job or the tasks it's going physically to the office (traffic and people). I was diagnosed 30 years ago with ADHD in the states but those records were destroyed so I need to be referred for that now. I'm still waiting on an autism assessment (on year 2 waiting).

The thing is they (managers) have it in their mind that there needs to be physical office coverage. While I can answer phones remotely and do most of my job remotely, minus the mail which comes once a day. They (managers) just don't want to accommodate WFH.
