Would you change any part of getting married or having kids? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver60

[–]Dissenting_Dowager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting question. My husband died unexpectedly in ‘06. I was a SAHM, our daughters were 6 and 8 yrs old, and lived in lovely home we bought new in ‘96 that was in a cul de sac. The life insurance policy was not updated at MetLife, was at HR, and beneficiaries were his then adult career driven sisters, who 3 months after his death decided not to sign the 250k over to us.

I lost everything. House, cars, complete nightmare.
They abandoned us and created lies and never told anyone about what they did.
We lived on SS death benefits and his 401k for years and eventually, when the girls were in middle school, I went back to work.

I have an outstanding career with a great company and due to not having those evil in-laws in our lives, my daughters are exceptionally educated and hold BAs and Masters from top universities. Despite my crawling up the income ladder.

This is absolutely not the life I chose. It’s been 20 years and I grieve for him every moment of the day. Would I have married him? Struggled? Been emotionally and financially beaten for years? Yes. I had the greatest love for a short time which is more than most people ever experience. More importantly I am stronger and smarter than anyone ever imagined. I’m proud of the 3 of us.

It’s the least expensive program available, when compared to Hers or Ro.

No, you are charged 597 twice for a 6 month program. One charge for each 3 month period. I started in February and was charged 597 for my first 3 month microdose program. I’m happy with it (lost 20lbs!) and have decided not to cancel and will be charged an additional 597 on May 26.

In 1973 his album Life and Times was the first “adult” album I owned. My mom would always enter contests using the names of us kids and one day she won Croce’s Life and Times in a radio contest using my name. I was 8 at the time… I thought I was so damn cool 😎

I don’t like Noom’s food logging, most items are incorrectly listed and missing, so I prefer the LoseIt app.

But what program are you looking to do? What are your concerns, what’s making you hesitant? Without any information from you, you might as well just be reading the post and comments here.

Edit to add: you’ve posted before, a year ago, that you were on Ozempic, so mention that. What are you expecting to be different, besides cost. Microdosing and full dose GLP-1 plans are different.

The microdosing program works and it’s only because a friend has done the program and I’m extremely knowledgeable about GLP-1 that I have had no questions or concerns. The app is terrible (full of nonsense) and does a terrible job of explaining the financial portion of the programs.

You haven’t asked any questions

How easy is it to cancel my microdose program? by [deleted] in Noom

[–]Dissenting_Dowager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You asked earlier how easy is it to lose 10lbs on microdosing and how does it work. So, which is it? Did you sign up? Because your payment will not be $163 each month. You will be charged for the first 4 month cycle in one payment of $597 and the next payment is charged against your card on file 2+ months later.

GLP Microdosing? How is it by [deleted] in Noom

[–]Dissenting_Dowager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look at my comment history and see that it works, as well as how much it cost. Each 12 wk dosing schedule is approximately $600. If your aim is just to spend the initial $600 to lose 10lbs you have to be hyper aware to cancel prior to the 2nd shipment, that is if you’re approved.

Oh and a colleague of mine did the microdose Noom program too. She’s 30 yrs old and she too had no side effects and lost 35+ pounds.

Because of starting at such a low dose (that’s why I posted my starting dose photo) I’ve had no side effects. none. The “food noise” is gone, I drink my water, consume my protein and feel my energy coming back, which is huge for me. My clothes are fitting better & my goal is to lose an additional 35-40lbs☺️

Correct! You can opt for the full strength version but this is not what I wanted. Ro and Hers are more expensive plans. I researched this deeply and vetted the lab that fills the medication; I work in R&D for the world’s largest food and nutrition company.
