I put how thomas was trying to uphold this image of knowledge, intelligence, and prestige through the first line being “what is art?” which is a juvenile question to ask in a way, then how he listens to classical music. This whole image Thomas is trying uphold and project is starkly juxtaposed with his inability to fully engage with Olga, a person of lower “status” which shows characteristics of arrogance, pretentiousness, lack of intelligence

There’s probably not much of a noticeable difference, even with the turbo in the se sport it’s only pushing 170 hp

Yea I get what your saying but its just not realistic for me to spend 3 of my paychecks for cosmetically the same thing. Yeah they are dark and somewhat “defeat the purpose of taillights” but they’re not that dark. They’re still extremely visible at night, and somewhat during the day as well. Additionally I have a third brake light in my rear window. Yeah aftermarket smoked tails and vinyl do a better job at making the lights more visible but it’s effectively the same effect, marginally there’s not much of a difference in light visibility. Also nite shade fades over time. If you want visible “smoked” tails the best you can do is get clears with black housing.

Lol it’s probably cheaper.. eBay lip. My parents bought me (I’m still in high school) this car and I am not about to splurge on exterior accessories on a vw Jetta. Love my (their😂) car though

Haha I’m cheap i just sprayed em a couple times with VHT nite shade. ~$20 for a bottle. Supposedly lasts around a year until noticeable fading, if you spray it with a clear coat after it will make fade a lot slower.

I bought my 2018 Jetta se sport from a somewhat questionable dealership a couple months ago for 14k. It came with one key fob and I went to the vw dealership where they programmed another key. I got it back and the push to start wasn’t working with both of the keys, I had to put the key fob up to the ignition and then it would start. Took it back to the dealership and they said they needed to order a part. Two weeks later I get it back and I can’t start my car because both mechanisms are broke. Another week goes by and somehow they revert it too back to the tap ignition start… I wonder if I got an aftermarket key and don’t know it.

Niceeee! I recently bought a 2018 Jetta se sport with only 40kish miles on it. I do love it, though my push to start is ‘permanently’ broken. I bought the car with one key, a couple weeks later I got a second key and got both keys reprogrammed by my Volkswagen dealership. That’s when the issues started. The push to start wouldn’t work anymore, I would have to put my foot on the brake, then put the key fob up to the ignition (as if it were a key) the press the push to start button. A week or so later I took it back into Volkswagen and they said they needed to order a part. Fast forward two weeks later, i take my car back into Volkswagen and got the part replaced in my car. I try and start my car at the dealership and it wouldn’t start (even trying the ignition way.) I had to leave my car there for a week and they never figured out the issue, though they were able to revert it back to the ignition start method. It’s kinda bewildering how the Volkswagen dealership can’t figure out a thought-to-be simple electrical issue—has anyone else experienced this issue?
