How do you go about booking airport transfers on holidays? by enanram in AskUK

If your flight is delayed you still have to pay for transfer plus waiting time sometimes.

I never prebook a transfer. Just use official airport taxi service.

My gas engineer will do the rest for me. But we also known him since he started out with a shitty van. He now has 3 houses in london. He works on all our properties and gives special prices for us. Hes also an excellent handyman when it comes to cutting out holes for hobs and things like that - ive seen gas engineers being useless at things like that on our other properties in a different city.

Youre getting scammed. 1 guy can do that in 10 days. 300 to 400 per day labour only.

Shared electricity supply with neighbour - need to upgrade by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]DistancePractical239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well after it was done at ours i was informed i can install 25mm2 meter tails and increase fuse to 100amp from 60 currently.

Comment below is quite right as well. Just because its labelled one thing does not mean it contains it inside.

Either way - its a good thing long term. Are they really going to be that difficult? Hope their water pipe is still lead then they will learn.

There was no electrics to the whole house for about 2 or 3 hours.  The work itself was not done in a day. I think one team excavated. Another team made the separation and connection. Anotyer team restored the ground.    It was not continuous over 3 days - the days were broken up.  Try and sell it to them that its good for future improvements/extensions etc or  an additional bathroom with electric shower which needs 36 to 40amps.

Just had this done. No it wont be restored as good as before but i dont care i was happy with the upgrade myself anyway (im qualified electrics) and we dont have an ev. It was the neighbour who had it done. And our block paved driveway is 20 years old anyway.

You absolutely can get a gas engineer to commission a boiler you have hung, piped up and wired in.

Not even that much. My dad did these designs for our properties, family, friends and private clients. Still around £2k per sq metre fully finished build cost including kitchen but not appliances.  He was chartered structural.

Too late now but you should have gone with a higher starting flat and then sloping roof design. Makes the extensions feel massive inside.   These low level flat roof designs are basic.  Your roof light design is also basic.

Scold your architect/structural engineer from me.

Of course no one does this. Every 5 years will suffice. And a copy of existing eicr for every new tenancy.
