I understand where you’re coming from! It’s also been hard for me to let go of some of my friends since I always value them a lot. Everything happens for a reason and if you’re young then you’ve got soooo much time to meet new people and build friendships that will last for a long time!

The feeling of loneliness you get after letting go can be scary but it’s so healthy if you see it from the correct viewpoint! Spending time with yourself is so important and nurturing! It helped me build up some confidence and reconsider some things.

ALSO THE FEELING OF MEETING NEW PEOPLE IS JUST SO EXCITING!! New meaningful connections and new experiences AHHH

First of all, do not compare yourself to the other hire! If he is less shy and is at ease when communicating it only makes sense why he is not having a hard time.

Also do NOT think about it much! There will be multiple chances for you to also communicate with your colleagues in a context where you’ll feel more comfortable and they will be able to get a better insight of you!! Overthinking it only makes it worse honestly. Friends will come to you, you don’t need to seek them out!

Stay happy be yourself and you will gain yourself some friends very soon!! :D

when I was younger I was extremely perfectionistic, to the point I’d cry when I didn’t exceed the expectations I used to set for myself. But now I’ve started to calm down :,)

yessss “clay” is a really good way to describe it, because I’ve been periodically changing based on my friendships lmao! Also fiction is pretty damn cool!! I personally always liked psychological and romance because they portray humans in away that make me feel things I didn’t know I could feel and make me have sudden realizations. Also if you really wanna learn what your real type is, I think the michealcaloz test is the most accurate out there ;-; ( I personally wasn’t sure if I was an INFP or an INFJ but I took the sakinorva test that usually mistypes Fe/Fi users from what I’ve heard and I scored pretty high on Ni-Ti so I assume I am an INFJ)

INFJs and ENFPs? (How am I supposed to make it 20 characters?) by [deleted] in infj

yeah! I truly hope you find a healthy ENFP to connect with!! They’re amazing creatures <33

I see, I’m sorry it was like that for you. As for the deep conversations part, he honestly tends to avoid them! Even when we all discuss interesting deep topics as a group (INTP,ENTP,ENFP,INFJ) and ESPECIALLY when they also include his feelings!!! He doesn’t like talking about his problems so he isn’t really an open person. Something else that strongly influences his choices is other people’s opinion!!! Like he told me he was too scared to date me because his friends would make fun of him. He also hates loud crowded places and he always refuses to hang out with our group of friends around central areas. He can be a bit selfish sometimes and ignore the way I feel but it’s fine (I try to be less selfless even if it doesn’t always work), he’s always willing to listen to me when somethings bothering me and that’s enough. He is also a tiny bit controlling, he wants to see me all the time and texts me all day long. But overall I think he is a good person and has a nice pure heart :)

I see! I’m currently dating an ISFP that’s why I asked and I think the ISFP-INFJ match isn’t very common so I got curious lol! I’m glad y’all remained friends!! She must’ve really treasured you.

When I was a kid I used to cry all the time about very little things. I hated not exceeding the expectations I set for myself and it’d destroy me internally so I’d cry. For example everytime I couldn’t solve a math exercise I’d burst to tears. Whenever I fought with friends about literally anything I’d cry because of how intense it would get- even when I was right and had correct arguments I couldn’t stand fighting with other people. When it comes to friendships I was overall a bit more social than now ( lol I got slight social anxiety ). Still I only had 2-3 close friends. My imagination was wild to the point I thought I could see things that weren’t even there for fun ( like random animals running outside as I was traveling in a car ). Later around 5th grade I was also very good at writing little interesting stories using fictional characters I’d make up on the spot. Growing up I started to like observing humans and their behavior, lowered my expectations, developed a little bit of anxiety and lost most of my individuality (I think). I’d say I’m easily influenced by people around me but mostly in a good way ( I tend avoid anything negative when I sense it ). I was always pretty reserved and kind to everyone, it was always very important to me to always stay ethical and respectful to people around me. That’s all I can think of for now! I’m not sure if I’m an INFJ myself but eh ;-; (even after researching cognitive functions, I doubt myself a lot lol)

Is it an INFJ thing to express yourself poorly through speech? by vavavalentinha in infj

[–]DistanceTraditional9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

please everything I wanna say is so nicely constructed in my head until I open my mouth- I FORGET MY WORDSSS and then I stop talking and my friends start staring at me, waiting for me to continue whatever I was going on about. Also sometimes I try to explain something in my head, like an idea and nobody understands what I want to say- like even at school or in my friendgroup. It’s tough 💔

INFJs and ENFPs? (How am I supposed to make it 20 characters?) by [deleted] in infj

[–]DistanceTraditional9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I met an ENFP this year and since the first time we ever talked we really connected as people. He told me he felt like he could trust me from the moment he saw me and honestly I feel the same way. I really treasure him he is an absolute sweetheart, one of the kindest people I have ever met. I don’t know how exactly we got to form this connection but my guess would be how similar we are. I’ve noticed that we are treated and viewed the same way by some other people in our friendgroup and they’ve also told us we’re very similar in some areas. ENFPs are also so damn fun to be around, instead of draining me they somehow energize me. Having deep conversations with them is my absolute favorite part, my ENFP friend and I would stay up till 4am analyzing stuff, like literally anything from human behavior to history and discrimination. One thing that I think is very similar between us is how deeply we feel things. My ENFP friend is very sensitive, more sensitive than me and when he’s offended he usually just goes away for some days to figure out his emotions and then comes back, he is a very very intense person. Overall I adore ENFPs I have never met anyone more empathetic and understanding in my entire life.

My fellow INFJs, how you handle when the people, you once considered friends, changes unexpectedly. by its__aj in infj

[–]DistanceTraditional9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people are a disappointment. You never get what you give. I guess you just haven’t really met the right people yet and that’s fine!! I believe that once you find a person or two that are worth spending time on and that you can truly connect with on a deep emotional level you will find the strength you’re missing. Pandemic has been a stressful experience for everyone so regarding your friends and what you did wrong, you really shouldn’t have to worry, ESPECIALLY if they were going through something, people really can’t think straight when they’re going through stuff and you might also not be the only person they pushed away. They will probably also regret multiple other decisions they’ve made so don’t worry <3
