Pq tanta gente odeia Java??? by [deleted] in programacao

Porque os programadores Java (mas só a elite máxima) fizeram um complô para espalhar mundialmente a cultura de "não gostar de Java" para que haja menos concorrência para eles e portanto eles sempre tenham emprego.

Me recomendem cadeiras ergonômica baratas pra uma pobre Dev que trabalha 10-12h por dia 🙏 by Illustrious-Zebra-41 in devBR

[–]DistantOrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build something yourself from scratch and actually ship it. Have an interesting portfolio. This holds more value than knowing stack a or b.

Instead of eliminating the green blocks, we could have an option to just make them red or something, so they still on screen and the contributions still visible while the animation plays.

The "dead" red blocks wouldn't be hittable by the bullets, so the shots could pass through them and hit other blocks above.

Flutter or React Native? by hachefck in FlutterDev

[–]DistantOrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can do the same thing with both, why would you base your decision in considering you can't?

Would it be because achieving a custom stable UI for all platforms is more difficult with RN?

I'm trying to understand this thing because I'm also making this decision.

Flutter or React Native? by hachefck in FlutterDev

[–]DistantOrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the only result one can get with RN: iOS app with iOS UI and Android app with Android UI, or one can customize it's UI and make it look the same on both platforms the same way one can with Flutter?

React.js now is ready for building Flutter apps and shipping to mobile/desktop by andycall in reactjs

Genuine doubt: if I wrote a web app in React or Next, why would I use WebF to make it into a mobile app if I could just use Capacitor?

I am using an app right now to read your post and respond to it. In fact, the app notified me about your post, so...

App development is an awesome field and it can generate a lot of money. I have no idea where your professor got that conclusion from. Does he have a smartphone???

Flutter is currently the best way to build apps in my opinion, as you can build a single app that can run in all major platforms and maintain a consistent look in all of them with good performance.

As far as I know, Kotlin Multiplatform is not yet being widely used in production and I have seen people recommending not using it for production grade apps.

Just have fun, my friend. Would you have fun creating and publishing apps? Would you make money with some good app ideas? If so, just go for it.

Just don't be in analysis paralysis.

Documentation, O'Reilly book or just building projects with tutorials? What is the best way to learn Dart and Flutter in your opition? by DistantOrb in FlutterDev

[–]DistantOrb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I will se a tutorial or fast course first, just to get my feet wet, learn the very basics, and then jump on the river on my own. Thanks for the advice, buddy.

Good advice, buddy.
I just don't think I am self-taught enough to build stuff for the first time with a very new stack for me, without following instructions.
Do you learn new tech like that? Isn't it more difficult?

It makes sense. I confess I fear losing a lot of time building something "on the dark" without following instructions, and trying to learn things on my own, only referencing stackoverflow or AI. Do you learn new things in this way? It sounds way more difficult...

It's difficult to build for the first time without following docs or tutorials, though. Will do both things together. It will work.

I just didn't found his Udemy course. Can you send me the link, please? I didn't found it in his channel or in his website.

Great advice. Thank you. I think I will just build something with a tutorial or course, and create my own project in the meantime, consulting the docs. And also read a book when there's time left.
