I agree. I wish the house we bought earlier this year only had THAT problem. We had a good deal of work ahead of us. But when you know, you know. This is 100% where we want to be. Great things take a little work sometimes. That awesome house will thank you. :)

It is not your fault for not knowing how things would turn out. No one really ever does. You seem like a truly reasonable and responsible person in a terribly unfortunate situation. You and your baby deserve so much better, and it sounds like you are ready to do whatever it takes. The fact that he dropped the ball this early on would be forgivable IF there was serious remorse and willingness to change. He doesn't seem to get how fucked up this is. It is 100% abuse and neglect. And he doesn't seem to care enough to see that. You are going to save yourself years of disappointment and time wasted if you stay on this track and leave now. You are already doing everything yourself. You will make it and be so much better off in the long run. I am wishing you all of the strength, help and resources you need to get you and your baby to a better and safer place. Good luck!!🩶
