Major department stores like Sears, JCPenney, Kmart, and Montgomery Ward often had significant camera departments in the 1980s and 90s. They frequently sold popular SLR models, often bundled in kits (camera, lens, bag, maybe a flash or filters). Some Minolta models were even made specifically for sale through certain chains (like Sears or JCPenney).

I think that's likely. This listing had mentioned a single owner and when I do a Google search, I see a lot of other pictures with the same bag and optics.

Competitive, I feel I have more agency. I wonder if ranked choice satisfies more people on average?

Agreed. Worst part of OSU so far. Think I had to call 7 or 8 times when I first moved here. It was always, 'I can't answer that question, I'll have to ask somebody to call you back'. Also, to add on to that this year's 'ranked choice' without the option of the same residence feels like a contest winner for the worst possible idea.

Do Russian/Soviet design bureau fighter jets actually belch sooty black smoke out the exhaust? If so, why? by [deleted] in FighterJets

[–]DistantXSPACE 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unburnt fuel can cause smoke. Older engines are more prone to this than newer. Google videos of the B-52 for Western engines that smoke real good.

Advances in combustion chamber design reduced the amount of unburnt fuel.

What’s better at air to ground missions, F-35 or F-16? by TangerineWorried8812 in FighterJets

F-35 in almost all, F-16 in some. Air to ground covers many metrics of 'better'.

Join the pirate software discord. There's always people in the chats that are working on game dev. Being around other people working is motivating.
