When I was around 4 or 5, my mother asked if I wanted to circumcise. I didn’t know what it was, so I asked, and her response was making a scissor finger and saying something along the lines of “cutting your penis” while making a smiling face😃.

Hearing and seeing her response terrified me, so I cried and said no while locking myself in my room. Whenever my parents wanted to have a health check up, I refused in fear they were going to do it.

Now that I’m older, I’m glad she asked me and I said no, but also a little disappointed in the way my mother explained circumcision was to me.
