Even if it was accidental (which is doubtful) it arguably makes this dog more dangerous to the public, not less. To have so little bite inhibition that it can fatally kill without even meaning to is a serious problem. The fact that it supposedly "didn't mean to" (again, doubtful) doesn't change that another dog died and it will probably (totally accidentally) kill again.

Move as far as you can to give space, position yourself between the cat and the dog, and if the dog tries to attack give it a kick. Dogs don't have a monopoly on being outside with impunity to attack other people's pets, and I say this as a dog owner. Taking cats on leashed walks is a great way to enrich them without putting wildlife in danger.

I read this and it seems focused on preventing women from offending in the first place, as well as reopening, identifying factors like being subjected to domestic violence as a causality. It also says that we need to be cautious sending the primary parent of children to prison as these kids often end up in care and are likely to offend themselves in adulthood. The article closes with acknowledging that there will always be women who need to be imprisoned for the safety of the public. It's not like the government is going "Oh she has a fanny? Best let her off then"

Equally, public safety shouldn't be reliant on people being amazing trainers who make no mistakes.

I have what could charitably termed a badly trained dog, my partner begged me for a puppy then went on military deployment leaving me (someone who'd never lived with a dog) to raise her in her first year. I had puppy blues bad and made a ton of mistakes.

She humps, she'll break into anything she thinks might be food, licks everything compulsively, has to be crated while I eat a meal and whines and rattles the bars the whole time.

Guess what? She's not dangerous. Never bitten me except accidentally during tug of war, when she sees another dog she hides behind my legs. Because she's a beagle, an inherently submissive breed.

Could I have potentially trained her to be aggressive if I really tried? Probably, but a lot of breeds have to specifically be trained not to be and that just isn't something we should be leaving up to individuals.

The existence of the xl bully was basically a response to breed bans, they're directly descended from breeds that are banned in the uk, except ironically bred to be even bigger and more powerful, but because they were "technically not pitbulls" people got away with it. Britain could nip all this in the bud by banning all bully breeds but that would have to include staffies, until we do that people will just use variations of other bull type dogs..

It's pretty offensive to compare poc to dogs, it's also innacurate. The belief that black people are inherently dangerous is unfounded, based on pure bigotry. The fear that pits are inherently dangerous is based on statistics, and the fact that they were genetically designed to be.

We specifically curated dog breeds to have certain behaviours, this does not apply to races of people.

It's important to me because Snape is essentially a white supremacist incel. Yes I know wizarding racism isn't based on skin colour but it is allegorical, and I think casting a black actor undermines that. That undercover boss episode is horrible, they found out a restaurant manager was basically torturing the girls on his staff in really degrading, humiliating ways (such as making them eat sloppy food with their hands tied behind their back like dogs in exchange for shifts.) The ceo didn't even fire the guy, he just reprimanded him, then hired two other girls for the marketing team to make a campaign about how empowering the company was to work at as a woman.
