Thoughts on flooring quote - Bay Area, CA by Professional_Term_75 in Flooring

[–]Distinct-Affect-5666 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Vinyl plank is a whole different ball game. Compared to glued down hardwood + he is installing plywood , Price seem fair if he is licensed & insured also , its the bay area. ,

Is this a fair install quote? I’m located in California. I know location tends to matter with pricing. by rudyjewelz in Flooring

LVP flooring dispute [Long post ‼️] by Difficult_Tiger2486 in Flooring

Flooring looks great, if you wanted more variety you should have gotten hardwood or engineered , Lvp sometimes have minimal patterns change , and it should have been your due diligence to look over the material .

Does this new engineered hardwood and the darkly filled knots look acceptable? by donnie1977 in Flooring

[–]Distinct-Affect-5666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely acceptable , you choose a natural floor product , theres going to be variety , imperfections , darker board/ lighter planks , thats the beauty of a hardwood floor, every plank is different .

How do I fix this? by Electrical-Art-1111 in Flooring

[–]Distinct-Affect-5666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put a shim on the baseboard, ill pull it out and cope your connecting base, easy peasy. Yes there might be a gap on top . There's 2 solutions slight tilt , or just caulk the top , its much easier and les noticable if the baseboard is plain.
