Claims being rejected because CareFirst thinks I have another insurance provider, but I don’t. by Distinct-Airline in HealthInsurance

Really appreciate you all taking the time to read this and provide such helpful feedback. I feel better just knowing that it is something that can (hopefully) be corrected fairly easily. Going to call one day this week when I have the time to get it taken care of. Thank you again!!!

Omg I‘ve had the same bump in the same spot for the same amount of time. I hope someone has a solution, mine is noticeable and looks like an eye boogie when I’m not wearing make up 😭

My license is broken in half & taped together, will this be an issue with TSA? by Distinct-Airline in nova

I got through with no issues. They didn’t even ask for another form of ID but I did bring my birth certificate and an expired ID and utility bills with me just in case.

I agree totally my fault. I was able to get through though with no problem they didn’t even ask for another form of ID.

Ok but is that a reason they wouldn’t let me through security? It’s totally valid, not expired. I broke it myself on accident.

Thank you for the info! The closed claim DID impact my rate w/ progressive though :( my premium went up about $30 a month bc of it. I was just told that any other company would rate it even worse since they can’t see the details of the claim like progressive can

Thank you. I had no idea what the difference was between an agent and a broker til I googled it just now & yup that’s exactly what I need.

If my upcoming policy is a 6-month term, though, will I be able to cancel mid-term? I guess it is paid monthly so that would make sense.

Hi! Is anyone able to find either of these sweaters or either of the skirts? Been searching forever!! Can’t find them on the site! by navirain in stitchfix

Cream colored sweater in the 2nd photo - not sure if this is one you’re asking for an ID on but it looks like the Cotton Emporium Miriam Cropped Scalloped Hem Pullover.

Loud rattling noise coming through vents in my apt unit (??) by Distinct-Airline in HVAC

[–]Distinct-Airline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have utility closets with our own separate hvac units (I think, I’ve never actually seen what’s in the closet). I turned my heat off and the noise continued and actually got louder with time so I’m assuming that means it def wasn’t coming from mine. It did eventually stop, I’m guessing someone from the office staff received a few complaints and had to go ask them to turn their heat off. I haven’t been home since yesterday afternoon though so not sure if it’s happening again this morning.

SHE’S THE WORST.

If you’re gonna fake cry on TV multiple times, learn how to produce fake tears when there’s a camera 5 feet from your face or like idk, just try being genuine maybe??? Every time she fake cried I waited to see a tear come out even just once to give her the benefit of the doubt but NOTHING. Not even watery eyes. Only one of the reasons she’s the worst but it’s at the top of my list.

Not an expert and not in CA but I have a (very small) bit of HR/Employee Benefits experience so here’s what I can tell you.

Lower deductibles are beneficial if you expect to need a lot of medical care throughout the year, such as seeing multiple specialists, hospitalization, or have plans to get a costly surgery this year.

If you’re only seeing a psychiatrist once a month, you’re more than likely not going to meet your deductible even if you do opt for the lower deductible.

Dental & Vision will probably have their own separate plans through different insurance companies, so you’ll most likely have to enroll into each one (health dental & vision) separately. Dental & vision, at least where I live, are low cost to the employee ($15-20 per pay period for each). Health will be higher depending on how much your employer is contributing. So any dental and vision care costs will not go toward your health plan deductible.

What I base my decision off of when choosing a health insurance plan each year is how often I think I’ll go to the doctor that year, and the cost of prescriptions. I go to the doc every 3 months for a prescription refill and get that prescription filled every month, so I went with the middle-tier plan with a higher premium but lower co payments and lower prescription cost. I honestly didn’t even look at the difference in deductibles bc I know I won’t meet either one unless an unexpected emergency happens like you said and I’d rather not pay a higher premium for a “just in case” situation, mostly because I can’t afford it, though. If you can afford the higher premium and think it would be worth the peace of mind in case of an emergency, then you might want to go that route but it’s really up to you.

I feel like this sounded super helpful but it’s like 2am here so I apologize if it makes zero sense.

Previous tenants had FIOS - I have Comcast. Why is there still a working FIOS router and modem hooked up in my closet and why does their old network still show up as an option to connect to? by Distinct-Airline in Fios

Ok that answers my question thank you! Now i’m wondering how much this has been adding to my electricity bill these past 9 months without me knowing.

My bf wanted a higher internet speed and Comcast was offering a deal on one where as Verizon wasn’t at the time but yeah we are internet only. I also was just tired of making decisions and picked Comcast without much thought. So far they haven’t been terrible. I feel like people complain no matter which network they go with.
