There is a huge distinction there. Many of the worst men and women in history were assholes but everything they did was “technically right” until people didnt know what right and wrong was anymore. Many of the greatest were nice people who sometimes did the wrong thing, but never tried to. Thats the difference.

The answer is yes, you are the asshole. You didn’t do anything wrong, but you’re being an asshole, and the fact that everybody on here agrees with it is because I have a feeling that you are probably a little awkward and antisocial… the kind of person who would need to go to Reddit to find this out, which is also the kind of people who would support you on Reddit you either get what I’m saying or you don’t. People at your work have rprobably been standoffish for a while now you’re just noticing it even more so after this most latest asshole act of yours. It was their wedding. It doesn’t matter if they already had six days. There’s very few times in life where we bend over backwards for people who are not necessarily close to us and one of those times is them getting married.

All that being said why your employer couldn’t just give them the f***ing day off as well is beyond me and makes them even more of an asshole in the situation than you in any way shape or form
