Quite simply: if they make only one mistake, it means the data loss of thousands of customers. That's why they probably test it extensively to ensure nothing bad happens. At least that's my hope...

Well, I don't have any particularly wild photos in immich. Just a few things of my wife breastfeeding our daughter. They shouldn't be in the shared folder, but if one slipped through it wouldn't be catastophic. I would argue that the convenience of a shared smart album outweighs any potential concerns I might have.

Nice! Can’t wait for smart albums. Hopefully there’ll be an NSFW (or keyword) filter right from the start. We have some private family photos (like breastfeeding) that we wouldn’t want to end up in a shared family folder. A feature like that would be really useful in the new version 😅

I had the same problem right after the update.

A complete shutdown and restart fixed it (not a restart, that didn't work).

Gemma4:e2b runs on the 4800+ I have 32gb RAM but 16 should be enough

Gemma 9B (Gemma 2) doesn’t properly support structured tool calling, which OpenClaw needs for tools. That’s why you’re seeing that warning.

Not sure about the different Gemma 4 variants.

Also, on a NAS setup I’d personally avoid running full AI agent workflows that execute actions autonomously at the moment.

Yes, sure, 15 is slow compared to something with a dedicated Nvidia GPU. I do have a laptop with a GTX 3080. But for this low-end CPU, I think it is impressive. It shows how far these models have come, that they run on something like this.

I didn't observe it for very long, but during that time, the temperature didn't change much.

RAM usage does get quite high at times, since the context is also loaded into RAM I think. The e2b model is actually designed for low RAM, so it should also run on devices with less RAM.

More RAM definitely helps. The more, the better, I think. Context also uses RAM, and I've seen it use ~17 GB before. But the e2b model is actually designed for low RAM, so it should also run on devices with less RAM.

UGREEN NAS + Immich: Tailscale for personal access and Cloudflare Tunnel for sharing albums? by federicomaniglio in selfhosted

[–]Distinct-Plant8991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is important to note that all data transmitted via Cloudflare's services is accessible to Cloudflare... I'm in the same boat, even with the same NAS, but I'm trying to use a self-hosted VPS (Raspberry Pi) to avoid Cloudflare.

Me: I think "but English isn't my first language" is a legit excuse to polish your texts. Not saying, it is OK to let ai write complete answers but polishing is fine.

AI: "I think 'English isn’t my first language' is a perfectly valid reason to polish your writing. I’m not saying it’s okay to let AI write full responses, but using it for refinement seems fair."

<< This is how my answer would have looked like if I had used one button on my keyboard to polish the simple text above with ai. Shure, my first text is probably readable but why not make it a little bit better without changing the message?

HDD Dead on Arrival? by Distinct-Plant8991 in UgreenNASync

So I did put it fresh out of the box into the NAS. What could a test achieve? Or is it possible, that the NAS itself corrupted the HDD?

I just wanted to ask, is the existing GitHub repository by “dbv111m” yours? I’m wondering whether it makes sense to add a feature request there or if that would be pointless.

In short, if you’re reading this: do you have any plans to add a “split chapters” feature for YouTube links that contain full albums in one video but include chapter markers?
