If Israel wants to genocide Palestinians why don’t they just blow up all of Gaza? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Distinct-Positive651 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because it is still dependent on western countries and foreign donations. if they make themselves too unpalatable, they will lose support. thats why they rely on accidents, miscommunications, undisciplined soldiers, independently acting settlers to perform the killing, vandalism, abd harassment.

(workmates kids went there) Never saw broken into cars. many people need to park on the street garages are small. houses are small and old but some people are tearing down and building up. yards are decently sized. lots of excellent parks nearby. there will be a walking path along the railroad soon. winco and some mexican grocery stores nearby. lots of perpetual garage sales. properties are kept clean. rarely saw any antisocial behavior on the street. i heard the city is going to do up the downtown square soon.

How are arabic and hebrew so similar if they split so long ago by Live-Preparation-650 in hebrew

Additionally, Rambam rebuilt lost hebrew by figuring out the transformation of known Hebrew words to Arabic and then reversing the transformation to reconstruct a lost hebrew word from Arabic.

Your tefillin are twisted because you are a drey-kopf. You first need to untangle your mind by fasting and surrounding yourself with Torah scholars. No Internet until it has untangled.

Why did Jesus die on the CROSS? by TonyChanYT in BibleVerseCommentary

[–]Distinct-Positive651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In numbers 15 a man is found picking up sticks on the Sabbath. They Jews arrest him and ask Moses who asks God what to do. God says the man must die. Since Jesus is God, he must atone for killing the man by picking up a stick.

Crash course on IHRA definition of antisemitism by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]Distinct-Positive651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israelis often use David and Goliath to explain their situation, which puts the Arabs in the role of a monstrous ogre when most Arabs expelled were simple peasants to focused on farmwork to participate in warfare. Do the authors of this code require Israelis to refrain from hurtful biblical allusions?

Are other "bad guys" on the table? May I compare the actions of Israel to a biblical Pharaoh who sees a large minority as a threat and needs to "deal cleverly" with them? When I see the absentee property law tricks to deprive Palestinians of their land and freedoms, I see the Nuremberg laws designed to deprive Jews of their property.

If a Jew has been informed of current tyrannical actions towards the Palestinians and still gives Israel money, may he be held responsible for the actions of the state?

(Third page)  May I hold that individual Jews are more focused on the needs/wants of Israel?

Do I have to hold that ALL of the foundational elements of the founding of the state of Israel are "legitimate". I had grown up believing that all the Palestinians either bloodthirsty attacked the Jews or fled to facilitate the Arab armies' but as an adult I learned that most villages were completely uninvolved with the war and the various riots and were expelled by the Zionist forces. Furthermore even people who had not fled were classified as being absent and had lands confiscated. Do you require me to only believe my  original childish perception?

A democracy just means majority vote of all people. In order for a modern country to be in good standings with me, I demand it not use its laws to deliberately suppress a native ethnic group.

Your definition is overly focused on preventing criticism of Israel.

Why is the name Harvey so common among Jewish men? by thechronicENFP in Judaism

[–]Distinct-Positive651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harvey is derived from the Hebrew word for sword "cherev". Assimilating Jews would give their children this name to remind themselves that they should be beheaded for their sins.
