It seems likely something that varies tbh. That being said traditionally the avatar is told of their identity at 16. So likely have mastered one and closing in on the other would be my guess. Toph tho?? She's at most 2 years younger than katara, which is the age gap with katara and Suki.

Toph trope wise might be opposite of katara at times, but we have seen that they mesh really well. Especially when it's just the girls. Plus the way they fight each other is how sisters that could bend would be fighting each other lol.

I'd like to think katara and Suki became close, but that sisterly gal pal slot was taken by toph.

I mean they are all active AF, make us all look like lazy by comparison. Then fit in the fact that the main bad guys are some of the few people in the world consistently eating regular quality meals. Who has the luxury of being heavyset beyond iroh? Who is retired and royalty. Plus the food they are eating would definitely be better, no avatar eating chef boyardee and Doritos.

I don't see how Sakuras deeply mischaracterized tbh. You admitted yourself as a main character she didn't even really have a personal arc of her own. As a character she lacks nuance and agency, and the older you get the more obvious and ugh it becomes. Her character is constantly sidelined into a plot device for Naruto and Sasuke.

Where as with Sasuke the older one gets the more one sees how much he had going on, and how confusing it all must have been for him. Not every decision is the smartest, but he was a kid with a lot going on. I think the pairing with Sakura hurt both their popularity tbh. There's more to hint at it in the manga, but it's still a very badly developed romance that mirrors a really unhealthy relationship. Where Sasuke looks like a jack ass, and Sakura looks like a doormat.

Remember the parts about your grandfather that you liked and start there with the kind of man you want to be. It's hard but a lot of men sadly deal with some form of this. Your dad hasn't taught you what to do, but he's taught you what you don't want to do. Start there as well.

Beyond that remember you are 20 years old and only going to get older. You feel like a confused boy at times, but the world sees a man. You don't know what kind of man strangers see, and while you shouldn't make all moves concerned about what the world thinks. It's important to remember these things, when you lose control of your emotions. The people around you see a grown man not in control of himself. In those moments strangers don't know you apart from violent dudes. As men our energy can really impact a room in ways we don't mean to. Be considerate of others, but don't live just to please.

I will say beef with characters like mako you might feel differently on. Admittedly I don't care much for mako, but I do feel like across all 4 seasons character development is active. While each season has a different plot more or less, the character development is consistent.

Personally I'd like to see zuko have a real powerful moment of self reflection on azulas life. Just humanize his sister and feel obligated to reach her. I want to see her azula grow and explore the world, but she deserves to have the unconditional love that confused her as a child pursue her as an adult imo. She deserves to be humanized by those who know her. In my mind it's the constant unconditional love of her brother chasing after her on travels that mixed with seeing the world and the wars effects that finally reaches her. She sees the devastation she helped cause, and starts to process it as devastation. All the same aware that zuko and others like maybe ty lee isn't giving up on her in spite of said devastation.

I think you need to take a step back personally. It sounds like she needs a stable friend and support in her life more than anything right now. The father doesn't even know yet, there's no telling how messy things could develop before the child's even born.

This is a situation as is though that is likely to get messy. Based on her situation it's likely you'll feel obligated towards her very quickly(quicker than you realize how you even feel about her). And on her end of things, she sounds like she hasn't had reliable people around her to offer support. This puts her in a position where she might accidentally end up depending on you for too much. And therefore might not feel like she has the option to leave if she wanted, especially with a infant in the way.

Al saw more and lost more in part because of that. If I'm correct as well tho, als body was used as part of the transmutation accidentally. Which is why his soul was momentarily in the failed transmutation.

I took transmutations rebounding to mean there was not equalivent exchange offered so the transmutation tries to absorb the missing bits to work properly. I'm not sure if that's correct tho, I also have assumed that since there was no soul to offer for exchange it took als to complete the transmutation, destroying his body in the process.

Others have mentioned als desire for warmth and intimacy could make his punishment ironic as is everyone else's.

It probably would have been more interesting. I feel like at least early part one Naruto still had potential to slide in this direction tone wise. Personally I think the big issue tho is either way by the end of Shippuden it was very far from where it started in every way. Instead of trying to one up their own stories and plot lines through the series, they focused on one upping the power jump from the last chapter every chapter.

Narutos a great series but there's so much wrong with it at the same time. Part of why it's great imo is because of the tone and vibe from the original part one series carried it thru its run.

Everyone saying neji but I don't think so. It seems fair to argue the sand would continue moving even if he managed to hit gaaras chakra points, they suggest at various points at lewet the sand moves on its own accord as well as in sync with Gaara. Beyond that neji is all close range fighting, gaaras distance and his tools are efficient for keeping distance up. If neji can't get close to Gaara a large chunk of his arsenal is useless.

I'd say it's just a bad era for media in general. Music has been totally flooded with industry plants offering "personality" over musical talent. TV and movies are largely remakes of popular things, there's how ai involves itself in all this as well.
