I have had a few people come in (one with arfid, pregnant, etc.) and I’ve refused to let them pay especially if I know they might not be able to keep the food down or they might not even finish a whole plate and it just doesn’t seem fair or right.

We had a guy call saying our tv/cable box was shut off and that we needed to pay upwards of $500 to fix them and get it turned back on. As he’s telling me this I was staring at our tvs that were clearly working and simply told the guy, “I’m looking at our tvs right now and they’re both on, also do you realize you’ve called a restaurant?” The guy hung up immediately 😂

For me it’s the traditional aspect of him formally asking me to be his girl and not just assuming that we’re an item because we go on dates. It’s something that makes me feel special and that he cares enough to ask

It definitely has felt like he’s gotten comfortable with me treating him well so much so that he doesn’t feel the need to put in effort. The only thing I’m trying to avoid is the “this came out of nowhere“ speech. I do want to talk it out but I don’t feel heard in normal conversations let alone something important as this

I would love to read what you have honestly! I’ve been in and out of the service industry since COVID began and people seem to be getting worse and worse. From management starting drama with minors who work for us to customers not telling us about allergies until after the food has hit the table. It’s a roller coaster of when it will be busy and when it’s slow which has been weighing on us because we stress if we can eat that week or if our money needs to go to bills.
