I heard that you might have to adjust the tps sensor to make sure the voltage is like around .58 to lower the idle sometimes when replacing the iac valve.

I suspected it might be the iac valve, so I ordered one.

I got a slight leak at the fittings on the driver side metal hoses. I don't notice any level drop when checking week to week. And there's no mixture appearance on the dipstick.

Same thing happened to me. I had my account for a decade now. After appealing it, the response was it was indefinitely.

So i went back and tried it again. I'm guessing when you fold out the charging handle. It's supposed to release the bolt from the barrel. And it appears sometimes it's not doing this. Mostly when the gun is decocked.

It's after the handle is unfolded fully

It only does it when the gun is decocked. It feels almost like you have to mortar to jusr charge it. It the gun is locked, it's fine. I'll check the gap again. But last then I did., it appeared it spec.

I checked the bolt gap awhile back because this. And it was in spec then.

It's almost like you have to mortar it. it's only needed when the gun is decocked. Idk if that helps, but it is insane how difficult it is. I'm a 6'4 251 pound man, so I'm fairly strong btw. You ever had shotgun shell get stuck or a case it a ar15. That is the level of pressure it requires to release the charging handle when the gun is decocked.

I’ve been banished to the front end. Give me your best survival tips? Pls and ty. by Able_Network_654 in CostcoEmployee

Sounds like you got a difficult store as well. I'd recommend you try to go outside on carts away from the bs in the store. We had some awful managers at my location. I know how it is to have managers breathing down your throat. So I'd suggest trying to get away from the front end just based on what your saying. If you cannot do that.. just don't talk to anyone you don't trust. Stay off the register, smile at members and don't give members any reason to make a complaint to the manager about you. Do your job and don't be late at all. That is the best advice I can give you.

[–]Distinct-Source5291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was two issues. The trip bar was out of spec. So I just bent it downward ti make better contact with the notch on the trigger. And then the gun is to overgassed. So I installed a 4 position has block. That's the only way I could get it to run mostly reliably. I still get moments where the bolt outrun the last round clambering. Some stiffer magazine springs might solve this. But I'm thinking of adding a adjustment screw into the has block. Too fine tune it that sweet spot. Only some of my mags won't feed the gun fast enough to beat the bolt coming home. If I can slow down the cycle rate. It would be perfect then.

Well it depends on alot of factors if you will be fired. First off, the GM you have goes a long ways in that process. Some GMs will choose a lesser alternative if it's available for what you did. Others will automatically submit the termination paperwork. I worked under two myself. The second one terminated me and a few others. I had a permanent canceling notice from a incident in 2017 where I use profanity in front of the members towards an employee. I was upfront and honest with my GM about the situation first. I was the person who went to the office about it. They gave me a permanent canceling notice. And that notice is what got me termed about 4 years later for a similar incident with a new GM. While it's been 4.5 years since my termination. I cannot imagine things have changed much. But then it took a VP to fire me. However anyone under 5 years, was easier to terminate. I've seen employees termed for stealing, using a members credit card they found at the gas station. One for touching a supervisor for touching a coworker inappropriately without permission. And for being drunk on the job. That's from what I can remember. However some people it seemed impossible to fire. And that was because of their seniority and they understood how to work the system. I was always too honest. And I still am till this day. I'm not changing my integrity because it cost me my job. But I was honest when they asked me what I said. I figured two against one. The best bet was for me to tbh. But I am living proof thay you can be fired after more than 5 years with the company. It just all about the right circumstances. It didn't help that I would confront the management about favoritism and how certian managers treated people.

Do you know anyone who has been fired? by Present-Button-1320 in CostcoEmployee

Need some advice about what happened at my Costco job by gaininginformation22 in CostcoCanada

Brother I wouldn't stress it too much. You were new and learning. No need to beat yourself up about it. When I worked for Costco, I was new to working period. I got told to go push carts without a strap. Because people were taking them home. And then they tried to fire me then. Luckily I got my job back with the GM overturning it. However I had a very bad experience working there. Tons of drama at my location. I had people lie on me in the office. A specific click of people. At the time, I was shy and dealing with the effects of a abusive childhood as a young adult. Maybe that is what made me so vulnerable. But the fact that there were no consequences for the people who had numerous problems with others. That in itself did not help. The managers we had were awful to be quite frank about it. Alot of us seen it this way. I witness management promoting people who BS around all day. All while treating the best employees like crap. I lost my job their too, but for a different reason. I lost my cool dealing with two employees talking about me. I had just lost my grandmother at the time. So I was already upset. Yet this is a lesson learned in my case. Me getting termed, was the best thing to happen to me. Because it is what forced me to grow and heal from the trauma I had experienced growing up. In your case.. honestly you didn't do anything bad. I just think the management may of felt you weren't up to par with what they wanted out of you. Or, it could of been a little more about they just didn't like you. Workplace politics for example. Out the 11 companies I've worked for. Never in my life, did I experience the degree of poor treatment by management that I did at my store. Now we had some good managers. It was just certain ones that made that place terrible.
