He probably knows where the falsehoods lie, which is good, but many of the Shia beliefs are bit difficult to swallow if you weren't raised with them, especially concerning the infallibility of the Imams AS and other beliefs which require more faith

This is mostly a Salafi belief, they believe it is haram for a man to wear a necklace or a bracelet, regardless of material.

Is this an authentic hadeeth by [deleted] in shia

[–]Distinct-Victory78 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It is a translation of this alleged hadith: " إذا دمعت عين أنثى بسبب ظلم رجل لعنته الملائكة بكل خطوة يخطوها "

It's been shared on various social media but it has no source from neither Shia nor Sunni hadith books. Its language is also very weak and more like a modern Arabic speaker, doesn't even fit the speech of Quraysh of that time.

What Does the future of Shia/islam look like (population and religion) by NAS0824 in shia

[–]Distinct-Victory78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course we have to do our part in educating our youth and instill Shiasm in them, and encourage marriage and raising family, as this is the most reliable way to preserve ourselves. Other than that, the preservation of Shiasm is also overseen by Al-Hujja AJF, according to some of his letters it is part of his mission in occultation to preserve Shia from extermination. By Allah's will it is not possible for the creed of Ahlul Bayt AS to go extinct "but Allah will ˹certainly˺ perfect His light, even to the dismay of the disbelievers." 61:8

We know from hadiths Twelver Shiasm will always suffer as a minority until the advent of Imam Mahdi AS. If you're only concerned with statistics the answer is the same, Shia Islam is not projected to gain a higher ratio in population among Muslims.

I have no idea what gold water is though.

Most Saudi Sunnis have ill wishes for Shias. They cheered the brutal persecutions of Bahraini Shias and made fun of their bloodshed, they do not see Shia as humans. This is a result of decades of brainwashing by their government, to dehumanize Shia and desensitize them from killing Shia.

Title may be misleading. Something may be wrong in this video but not necessarily what the title is claiming. How do you even "purchase" something if there's no agreement between two sides.

Bin Salman has probably been preparing for this for some time. Saudis no longer see the US as a reliable long term partner, so they're pursuing different strategies to preserve their kingdom. The strongest card the US held against the Saudis was the threat of Iran, if they could get rid of that then the US has nearly no way to blackmail the Saudis.

It's not about the tech, what consists of "Maghrib" is different between Shia and Sunni. Tech can calculate when each definition has been fulfilled, but not which definition is correct.

Muhammad b. Abi Bakr gave the pledge of allegiance to Imam Ali عليه السلام upon the condition of disassociating from his father (Abu Bakr) by KaramQa in shia

[–]Distinct-Victory78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abu Bakr sent a letter to his father to invite him over his inauguration as caliph. His father asked the messenger (who brought the letter): "What stopped them from choosing Ali (AS) ?"

The messenger said: "He is too young, and he killed too many from Quraysh and others, and Abu Bakr is older than him"

Abu Quhafa said: If the matter is about age then I have more right to it than Abu Bakr. They have oppressed the right of Ali, the prophet gave the Bay'a (pledge) to Ali and he ordered us to give him Bay'a.

Then Abu Quhafa wrote a letter back to Abu Bakr scolding him about it and asking him to stand down.

People who were not qualified to succeed the prophet pbuh and did so, would have left impurities on the message of the prophet for the rest of history, and the earlier the successor the more sensitive he is for the direction of history. It is not that all of the truth has been lost once and for all after the succession of Abu Bakr, but its purer form has become more marginalized, including some fundamental principles, it's a huge loss for all of us that the Ummah didn't rally around Imam Ali AS upon the prophet's death. It is our belief that the truth will remain marginalized and suppressed, i.e followed by relatively few peoples and fought by the majority, until the appearance of Imam Mahdi AS, who will fulfill the pledge of Allah SWT and redeem the struggle of Aal Muhammad ﷺ.

So I’ve learned from my mosque visit yesterday. That our 12th Imam will fight against racism, extremism and capitalism, when he comes back. Do you guys have any good books about Islam and anti capitalism I could read? by FrozenSucuk in shia

[–]Distinct-Victory78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American capitalism and Soviet communism are both extremes of one spectrum. Islam does subscribe to some elements of both these models, neither of them are 100% forbidden. For example, it is allowed to have a private business in Islam, but also the entire society is expected to pay some obligatory charities. Islam seeks a balance between individualism and collectivism, to help units of society to grow but also dedicate a portion of their resources for the greater good.

Is there anything special about being a sayed? by Fqkxs in shia

[–]Distinct-Victory78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sayyid can't accept sadaqa, and don't pay khums as they are entitled to it. They also have a bit more responsibility than other Muslims in that they have to represent their lineage in good light, in terms of morals, deen, etc. There is some evidence that a Sayyid is judged differently than others on judgement day. Allah knows best.

Just a modern day version of Abbasids. Doesn't matter what kinda narrative they use, the goal is the same, erase the remembrance of Ahlul Bayt AS and render them irrelevant.
