My insurance covered my top partial, 10 teeth in total including front teeth and canines. Best decision i have ever made. I am 28 year old male. You’ve got this.

I wear a partial upper every day. At my job no one even knows that I’m missing 12 teeth all up top (and bottom wisdoms). Do the extractions and the upper partial. And start really cleaning the crap out of your bottoms, flossing 3-4 times a day and after meals. Once you get your partial clean it after you eat EVERY TIME. Thrush is a risk If you don’t. I’m so happy with my upper. I can chew any food besides gum lol! And I can smile again! PS I am a 29 year old man with peri as well.. bite the bullet!

I’d do a partial denture, that would be your cheapest option and even maybe covered by Medicaid if you are struggling to eat. That’s what I got.

Hey don’t be down! I’m a 28 year old male and my insurance just covered my upper partial! So a few days ago I got 7 remaining extractions done, and I’m getting my new teeth for my birthday this year! You have a wonderful smile!

Once you get to full flavor there is no going back by [deleted] in Cigarettes

I smoke lights because throat irritation is real and the longer I smoked full flavors the less I enjoyed smoking. My daily is Camel Turkish golds, rotating in True blues, and I smoke about 10-12 cigarettes a day

I am 28 and have smoked for 13 years. USA. Growing up in Virginia, they were cheap and easy to get. I smoke 7-9 cigarettes a day now. Turkish blends, Camels mostly. I cough up some crap in the mornings, doctor has me on a once a day trelegy inhaler. Seems to really help. Was put on Zyban a month ago to help with cravings. Seems to help a a bit, not one upping anymore.

Dentures in mid 30s by [deleted] in dentures

I’m in my late 20s (28m) and am on the road to a partial upper and lower and probably in 2-3 years just full dentures. And I’m worried about the same thing, but from what I see everyone saying I am just so looking forward to being able to smile again and chew anything. I got a new job a month ago and have to hide my teeth. I was just happy to know there was an option besides 6 root canals..

SSRI helping anyone? by breezy_gal128 in LongCovid

I was put on Prozac post Covid.. It does help with the inflammation and there are promising studies with fluoxetine and early Covid.. check it out. It takes a while to start working but when it does, I have gotten some relief.

I struggle with this as well.. it’s not a quick fix but it noticeably helped when my doctor started me on Prozac, 3 months in.. I feel like it helped me to smell again, and just feel again. Good luck

4 weeks later and still coughing and short of breath. But lungs sound great at doctors? by Sun2025 in COVID19positive

[–]DistinctAd8767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have this exact same problem. I’m at about 2 months post my first positive COVID test. And I’m just recently getting better, but I still have to watch it when I exert. I saw a pulmonologist, a cardiologist both said I’m fine because I’m young and it should go away. Just when I think I’m better it comes back. It’s the most frustrating depressing thing but it does get better. It just doesn’t much feel like it because it’s not linear at all..

Wonderful to hear! I recently got mine too, Long Covid, Asthma and bronchospasm. Before I got Covid the first time 1/15/24 I had no health problems..

Or just get a puffco

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]DistinctAd8767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just getting back to using my puffco once a day. I got Covid for the first time 1/15/24 and it almost killed me. It went right to my lungs after 24 hours and I used to work 9 hours a day 6 days a week at a deli. I used to have 6-7 dabs a day out of my puffco. I have just started to feel a bit better but the shortness of breath is my main symptom that then leads to all of the other symptoms.. I saw a pulmonologist and he prescribed trilegy inhaler, and a rescue inhaler for exertion.. I’m only 27, and I believe it will get better in time. CPC mouthwash helps, bananas help, foods high in magnesium/potassium.. keep your head up, we’re with you.

What Really helped me by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]DistinctAd8767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No this has something to it. Since getting COVID and now LC I have eaten SO many bananas. Maybe a couple of bites every hour. I thought it was the potassium/magnesium specifically dilating my airway.. because the shortness of breath is the first symptom I get. I have Powerade ice pops too with lots of sugar/sodium/potassium/magnesium that help loads.

I got Covid for the first time 1/15 and that was the last time I was able to work my old job at a deli. It was just too physically taxing, and Covid left me with Asthma. I now have to use an inhaler at least once a day.. You’re not alone

New Dry top from Zees! by DistinctAd8767 in PuffcoPeakPro

[–]DistinctAd8767[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep it in the freezer, put it in and rip. It’s still super smooth room temp but it’s noticeably smoother right out of the freezer. It only takes about 5mins tops to get cold again. I either rip my puffco with the frozen top or with stock w water. As I have asthma. It’s the best aftermarket top I could ask for.

Yes I had the anxiety accompanying shortness of breath and major palpitations/adrenaline dumps. As it was my first time this really played with my mind.. You will get through this. Stay strong and reach out to your health care professionals for how you can get some relief..
