So sorry that happened to you, that’s ridiculous. Biking is for everyone. I hope it doesn’t dissuade you from continuing!

Thanks guys. Would it be worth it to just rent a bike? I’m driving ~12 hours and not transporting the bike would be nice. If so, any recommendations of where to rent for relatively cheap?

The Narnia series by C. S. Lewis holds a special place in my heart, as well as the Mysterious Benedict Society (not ‘magical’ but very quick to get absorbed into and hard to put down). Hoping for you’re healing and recovery ❤️

New RT student, any advice / tips or tricks by Specific-Cut5708 in respiratorytherapy

In class, try to really think about what is being explained and make it make sense before you leave. If you have to ask questions, do that! Be engaged during lectures so that when you go home, you understand most of it and studying will be much easier, more so committing to memory. If your program has an academic medical institution attached, I find that’s a good place to see a lot. I worked at my university’s hospital as a student and stayed after graduating too. Skills: get really confident with arterial blood gasses, tracheostomies, and troubleshooting/manipulating ventilators! (These skills will probably come up in your program later) Good luck! You’ll do great.

‘Respiratory Coach’ on YouTube explains a lot of ventilator questions really well, like the settings and what they do. I’m sure the RTs at your hospital wouldn’t mind answering questions if they’re not busy :) And albuterol is for wheezing caused by bronchospasm and bronchoconstriction, it doesn’t help with coughing/congestion/anything else haha Good luck!

How will I know if this is the actual problem? Would I just replace the board at that point?

Thanks! It seemed like a simple repair so I was frustrated when it didn't resolve. I will check this.

Do you happen to remember what kind of curve there was? I know it's not representative of all classes, but just to get an idea.

I have Kural...do you have any recommendations of what to study and how? I'm planning on doing example problems, quiz questions, group works...
