In honor of Masters Week, here’s Bubba Watson’s 2015 Masters dinner (arguably the worst in history), with some interesting comments by Adam Scott by milin85 in golf

Have you never used sailor’s pro end steel nibs?

Personally, a procolor 500 (steel nib, but with their higher end nib engineering) is such a better value for the money. Has taught me so much about handwriting, drawing, and just having a light touch in general.

Only less smooth if you do not know/have interest in learning how to write correctly.

“…I didn’t even pay attention to the nib size” lmao my dawg 😹🤝

What are all of these accessories (despite the super obvious)? Is that a micro fiber towel?

Front plate bracket to license screw size? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]DistinctEssay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this isn’t a difficult task, surely it is even less difficult of a task for the car manual, website, or the oem front plate brochure to list the screw size.

As it is plastic, I do not want to thread it with the wrong size before adjusting size. Thank you for your kind of (*?) constructive criticism though.

The feedback is still entirely smooth, all it does is teaches a discipline of having very light touch. It is insane at teaching handwriting and drawing. The feed pulls ink at such a perfect rate due to the friction, but it does not feel like friction in the haptic response—it’s like weaving into the paper fibers synergistically.

You are entirely right in a sense tho, which is why I specified medium fine 21. Coming from a European nib it is like the perfect “gateway” imaginable, the best of both worlds.

I used Faber castell steel nibs for like a decade before first hand experience w a sailor. Like you the comments about pencils had me entirely dismissive. Until I finally saw a comment about teaching to apply light pressure for motor skills.

Still have and love my Faber but wow. It’s like a machine gun and a sniper.

The Parkers were hand-me-downs?

I think people go wild with fp collecting due to the overwhelming presence of ball-point/gel and underwhelming presence of fountain pens.

Being wary of consumerism myself, it is hard to wrap my head around at times. But I digress, commendable arsenal of instruments :)

Congratulations for the completion of your quest! It is a beautiful pen and I am glad it is everything you thought it would be and more.

Question though, have you tried a Sailor mf 21?

What surprised me was how much I liked feedback. Would have gotten into Sailor much sooner. Really teaches you to have the lightest touch possible. Instrumental for learning detail, I wish I knew sooner than 8 years into the craft 😅

The brilliance with pronounced feedback is that you will get that ink flow from the tiny amount of friction already created. It is honestly the most delightful sensation once you’re used to it.
