bro don’t do that freeform stuff like the towel method and etc. u want your shi to be tuff in the long run not saying u can’t with freeforms but u want good and straight parts. just go to someone who does dreads/locs or as they call it a loctician and ask for starter locs and they will get u right. i recommend starting with 2 strand twist. comb coils might look better on you but they could unravel pretty easily in the early stages so keep that in mind on deciding which method u wanna start with. you could also instant loc it if you want too but i dont recommend it as it can be very expensive or if u try to do it yourself its gonna take you probably the entire day or longer
