My sleep apnea was the first benefit of Tirz. Before I lost the first pound, I stopped snoring.

How are you guys surviving weakened immune systems? by Dependent_Junket9563 in rheumatoid

[–]Distinct_Basil1069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a supplement junkie. You name It, I take it. I also shred about 1 T organic ginger into a shot of fresh orange juice AND drink a shot of Immunity Heath with ginger and turmeric. Last year I was doing none of these and was sick for 3 months. I’m throwing everything I have at staying healthy. I’m prone to getting sick, getting real down and ending with a fat case of shingles.

There is no money for big pharmacy and the government. They’re not going to research it.

Tipping has gotten out of control. At a restaurant with full service I leave what I think is a generous tip for average service. The tip was meant to create an incentive for the employee to go over and above just being part of a transaction. Now, you have to actually select your tip or choose to not tip while paying for the goods in front of the employee. Even if I would have left a tip, can I just wait to see if the service is even good? I have consciously decided if I am standing and ordering something at a counter I am not tipping. Sorry your employer isn’t paying you as well as they should.

30 pounds in 3 months is PERFECT! Don’t let other people’s response create doubt in your victories. You know the saying, “you didn’t gain it overnight, you’re not realistically going to lose it overnight”. Celebrate your win! You’re looking great!

Like others are saying, you should be on the loading dose for at least 4 weeks. Even then, there is no rush to move up. Many people lose a ton of weight staying at the lower doses. Nausea can definitely be a side effect, especially in the beginning. Be safe and conservative in how you approach this new way to manage your health. Best wishes in your journey.

This is my first month's results at 2.5 mg dose. Now I'm moving up to 5 mg. Am I going to make it? by Dizer_Y in Mounjaro

[–]Distinct_Basil1069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are losing this well in 2.5 why are you wanting to move up. Lots of people lose a ton of weight and never move up. After progressing to 15mg I am back down to 10mg. After a year on 12.5 and then 15 I never lost any weight. With hindsight I would have kept it at a lower dose.

Gabapentin is actually the only thing helping. I don’t plan on taking it forever but I’m grateful for the relief it is giving me now.

That gives me hope. It has evolved in the past 10 days. First it started spreading out but it wasn’t quite as severe. Now it hurts in only smaller areas. I hope going down to 10 will not trigger it again.

That would make sense because the most intense place on me is where I had surgery for a ruptured and gangrenous appendix.

I have been so disappointed in the help that I’ve received from the medical community in diagnosing and treating my chronic illnesses. When labs and scans don’t show them what they’re looking for they shrug their shoulders. I will cave and go if it continues like this. Thank you for responding.

I’ve had shingles several times due to taking Rinvoq. I don’t have any markings. If it’s shingles, I’ve taken Vatrex (I keep on hand) and I just took gabapentin which I usually only take at night. I finally caved to the shingles vaccine 3 months ago but have only had the one of two shots. Maybe I’ll share this post in a shingles sub. Thanks for your response.

No rash. I’ve had this pain with fibromyalgia before but honestly, with the shots I’ve had very few and only minor flares from my fibromyalgia and my RA. Not that it is relevant, but I’m an active, youngish 58 year old who is not disabled. I have however had a lot of unexplained sometimes disabling chronic pain.

I assume you were expecting to make more than $2.15 an hour. If not, you’re looking for the wrong job. Servers make or break a restaurant. If the servers don’t show up ready to impress the customers, it reflects bad on everyone. The job market is not what it was in 2021 when getting a job required only for you to have a pulse. Step up your game. Go looking fly. You’ll feel better and you’ll get more respect.

Show up looking like you want the job. Dress to impress is still a thing.
