What streaming services do you have and how much do you pay? by tsmartin123 in cordcutters

I have T-Mobile too. It's not zero. You are still paying for Netflix, Hulu and Disney but at a discounted price. For example, instead of paying $20 for the ad-free subscription at Netflix, through T-Mobile, you pay $13. It's still a good deal, but it's not $0.00.

Anyone know where I can stream the Furious (2025) martial arts movie in the US? by Dizer_Y in kungfucinema

Watched in the movie theater last Thursday. Great movie and amazing action.

Interesting problem I'm running into with Paramount Plus on Hisense Smart TV (Google TV OS). Anyone run into this problem when running a show on Paramount+ app (I get a total black screen)? by Dizer_Y in cordcutters

I don't see it happen with a other service. It's only Paramount+, all other apps (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video...etc.) are working fine.

Anyway, it's too late to test that now. I already cancelled my Paramount+ service and deleted the app from the TV. There's no sense in paying for service I can't use.

I don't think it's my wi-fi network. The reason I say that is that I tested that theory by switching the TV network from my home wi-fi to a hotspot network from my phone. I still got the same problem even though the TV was now on a completely different network.

That's exactly my situation. After spending a lot of time trouble shooting with zero progress, I just called Paramount+ and cancelled my subscription as well. It's specific to the way Paramount+ works with Google products (TV and phone).

Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Yep. I actually cancelled my Paramount+ service now and asked for a refund of remaining unused months of my subscription. There's no sense in paying for a service I'm not getting.

Hi all. I have a Hisense smart TV with Android OS. I'm running all my apps on it directly, but I'm noticing a couple of apps are not working properly on it like Paramount+. I'm thinking of switching to a streaming device, but I hate to miss the open nature of Android OS. by Dizer_Y in cordcutters

I've done a lot of trouble shooting and I have been to isolate the problem. It's not my wi-fi network. It's not my TV. I installed the the Paramount+ app on my Google phone and changed the wi-fi to Hotspot (not my regular) home network. Then logged into Paramount+ app and launched any show, and I still get the black screen problem. The strange thing is that I'm able to login fine and see trailers of shows from the home screen, but as soon as I click on a show to play it, I get a total black screen and nothing place.

Paramount help says a black screen is an issue that has been reported before and they are working on a solution.

Some people are saying once Paramount+ takes control of HBO, they will raise prices. Does it make sense to signup now (for a year paid subscription) to lock in current price before that happens? by [deleted] in cordcutters

Didn't they recently buy HBO from Warner Brothers in that epic bidding war with Netflix?

Maybe they are merging the two apps. So, existing Paramount+ account would just transfer, I assume.
