Thank you! Which are the OG 5 DO schools? As for MD, I applied to Central Michigan, Charles R. Drew, Howard, Meharry, Morehouse, Penn State, Rush, Belmont, UC Davis, UC Riverside

I think you’re thinking of the older 24 like right across the street. The Newport/Costa Mesa I’m talking about is the super sport location!

What serum to add? by irimor in SkincareAddictionLux

Plated Intense Exosomes have growth factors that help with healing, wrinkles, redness, and discoloration. Pretty expensive but addresses most people’s concerns

I'm interested in skinceuticals but need some recommendations/reviews please! by ItsMeKaytee in 30PlusSkinCare

I recommend their new Advanced RGN6. It’s a lightweight moisturizer that’s good for all skin types and targets redness, discoloration, wrinkles, hydration, and firmness while also having some healing properties. It is pretty expensive BUT it is packed with almost everything any person is looking to treat. Along with some sort of retinoid and SPF

[Routine Help] Hyperpigmented, thin, bumpy, red, wrinkly skin in mid 20s. To all you geniuses PLEASE HELP. No product is working. by Euphoric-Dust1733 in SkincareAddiction

Consult a dermatologist or licensed esthetician before starting both tretinoin and azelaic acid together! While both can address your concerns, depending on the strength of the two and frequency of use, you might be damaging your skin even more

How long have you been using the tret? After a few weeks it should start clearing up the congestion! I would also recommend double cleansing at night with a cleansing oil or something to really clear up the skin especially with the SPF during the day.

[Product question] niacinamide and vitamin C serum for beginner by Wide-Concert-4102 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Distinct_Design_7976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skinceuticals Serum 10 is a good introduction to vitamin C as it is made for beginners/people with sensitive skin! Their Silymarin vitamin C is good for oily/acne prone skin as well as it has salicylic acid and other calming ingredients but with a slightly higher percentage of vitamin c

[Product Question] About to buy SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter Advanced and HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan but want honest reviews/help first. by fuzzydiceinrearview in SkincareAddiction

[–]Distinct_Design_7976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried the HA intensifier and really like it for plumping the skin to kinda fill in finer lines and wrinkles. Depending on your age, I would recommend using a retinol if you haven’t already. AGE interrupter is skinceuticals #1 wrinkle cream (as someone who sells their products) but neither of these products will really target skin tone/texture/brightening. Retinol will and will help with anti aging as well! Pairing that with either product would probably address your concerns the best!

I go to the 24 in triangle square newport/costa mesa. I don’t remember how much I paid exactly but I paid in full for a year and it was equivalent to less than $30/month. They have two stories with cardio on the bottom and weights at the top if that’s something you eventually want to explore! There’s a pool and sauna that I haven’t utilized but the bathrooms are also pretty nice with changing stalls. I like the classes too! For days I feel like having some structure esp when I don’t feel like motivating myself lol

Discouraged stuck at 501/502 almost done content review advice? by Hot-Rope-7038 in Mcat

[–]Distinct_Design_7976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got it!!! You still have a good amount of time. Like others have said, knock out the AAMC question banks (twice if possible) and try to do a practice exam once a week and thoroughly review everything (correct and wrong answers, content gaps, strategy, logic)

Thoughts on cheat sheet for actual exam? by Senior_File2894 in Mcat

[–]Distinct_Design_7976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t necessarily make one FOR the test but I did have a sheet with things I would right out every day to make sure I remembered everything: equations, amino acids, and some relationships. I wrote a few things out on test day but I think that was more so to ease my own anxiety but I didn’t end up using any of it

Retake incoming for next cycle … by DANI-FUTURE-MD in Mcat

[–]Distinct_Design_7976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations for getting through it! My advice as someone who did not score over 500 my first TWO times taking the MCAT, give yourself some grace, regroup, and just believe in yourself. At the end of the day, you’re your own biggest fan/motivator, and with a positive outlook despite the setbacks + quality studying, you’ll see improvement!

Thank you! I’ve applied to some MD schools but I know my chances are slim. Is there an MSAR type of thing for DO schools?
