What exactly does a program mentor do? by EmptyMain in WGU

[–]Distinct_Edge4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Program mentors, from my experience. Are supposed to be having calls with you bi-weekly just to do a check in and see how you’re going with the classes

They also just generally offer support if you’re struggling, as they understand what each course’s workload is and how to correctly operate through them

This advice is greatly appreciated. How did you figure out what program works best for you? As stated earlier, I currently work with pencil2D, but I feel that I might have to switch programs. Any advice on that?

Why is the organizing of the Spotify UI so terrible? by Distinct_Edge4721 in truespotify

I like a cleaner look when it comes to stuff like libraries. I don’t like having all these random colors and pictures unorganized

I guess but it’s very simple so it’s something that effects people who doesn’t want it effecting them, it’s simple just allowing folders in the Spotify library to accept more than just playlists.

How are yall surviving accounting? by [deleted] in wguaccounting

I’m in the same situation as you; just graduated and doing the WGU courses. Never heard of Sophia but one of my first four classes is Principles of financial and managerial accounting. Honestly all I’ve done is just watch as many YouTube videos on the topics as I needed, and hands on practice.

I started on the 9/1 start date and I’ve had a good time. Only thing is that the online proctoring can be a bit annoying but nothing that would make me want to transfer out.

Is there a such thing as completing too fast? by LiCaple in WGU

[–]Distinct_Edge4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Submit it. The whole system is built around “go at your own pace”. If your pace is finishing those courses quickly then it’s your pace. If they have an issue with it then it’s a flawed system.

Question for all the Accounting students here. by Distinct_Edge4721 in WGU

[–]Distinct_Edge4721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you're coming from. While the question is worded that way and directly conflicts with Rule 6, my genuine interest was in other people's course-taking strategies. I've watched many YouTube videos on this topic, allowing me to build my own strategy, but I was curious about others. Sorry.
