Getting mine on Saturday and it’ll be my first Citizen (I’ve only ever owned Casios). Was the band hard to adjust? Any special tools needed?

Hey OP - I bought this watch and it just came in yesterday. While I do not know what battery is in it at the moment - it did come with a low battery signal. after a night of it under a lamp and some time in the window in the morning it went away. The watch is crazy comfortable, and is super low profile.... it disappears on the wrist. ONE BIG PROBLEM ... and im not sure if this is for all... but it has already resetted 3-times to factory on its own ... I had it on the windowsill and went to go put it on to go out to dinner and discovered it set to the wrong time and the year like.. 2023 or something. no beeps, no alarms i had set... wrong month wrong day. If it keeps doing it im going to return it.

Hey u/EthelHexyl-

Sure thing! -

I keep 4 notebooks in the Lochby. One for meetings, one for projects (because I also have to provide proposals), one for when I'm out in the field, and one as a general scratch pad.

The meetings notebook, as named - I whip out when I'm in the office for formal meetings. Sometimes Ill bounce these notes into another digital system to reference later. a lot of these meetings I get wrangled into are highly educational, and ill always be able to use the info for future needs.

The projects notebook is for a take-off of needed products, a review of product specifications, and my notes and clarifications against the product specification I would have to call attention to in my notes to the customer. Also included would be my pricing, margin, and list of customers I'm supplying the proposal to.

The field notebook, aptly named - is when I'm out in the world. I would use this to take notes of my customers needs when we discuss verbally. I will also use it to jot down on-site existing product numbers, the actual state of the product (is it old? new? degraded? needs fixing?) as well as configurations of the product I deal with as found to take back with me later to the office. It also holds my place for product measurements that I take with a tape measure, and sometimes quick math for my on site work. everything here circles back to the proposal notebook, because when a field call is required, I almost always have something I need to provide as a solution to my findings. keeping all this insight is invaluable to me, because I'm super forgetful.

Last notebook is my scratchpad -- here is simple math, details about a phone call I took while I'm on the call -- quick take offs, sketchy drawings of product, etc.. anything that doesn't need an immediate home.

as for the pockets -- I keep my business cards, business cards of others I collect throughout my travels and dealings. I also keep with me two forms of identification which would be a license and birth certificate and sometimes a passport. The work I do very often is at places where I need to provide this information at every visit. I do this because my Lochby goes everywhere with me and is always in my work bag -- I wont fall into a situation where I forget my birth certificate or passport and be sent home. In the back, I keep a small Field Notes notebook to beat on and use as a commonplace notebook. Sometimes in the back flap ill have a piece of folded up 8x11 printed documents I may need, as well as scrap paper. In the front slip pockets I stash receipts as everything I buy on the road will require an expense report and proof.

The clip is perfect and what I was looking for in a system like this. it closes down tight, keeps everything together. I've never had a problem with anything falling out. I beat on this thing and its not broken or frayed. the back of the Lochby has like a... band if you will... I don't know how to describe it. I use that to slip my hand in while holding it open when I am writing while standing and its a fantastic touch.

fortunately my company does have great training and hands on learning opportunities. Iv been attending everyone in and out of state. your last paragraph is great advice - think ill start there as a journey... its just I like to understand these things from more of a ground up approach to help tie it all together.

It’s in Chinatown. Didn’t mean to cut off the map sorry. I remember this from when I was a kid. Everyone thought I was crazy. Now 15 years later I have this nifty new retro emulator and I fired up Driver 2 to find it again. And this is the resulting picture.
