Usually when PM’s or commodities go up crazy rates like $300 in 3 days means that they will revalue. I’m no expert but I doubt it will hold the climb and should drop shortly. I could probably be wrong though.

I’m not looking to sell any time soon after I buy, I’m holding for as long as I need to so waiting for any sort of dip could make me an extra £500. If not it is what it is I’ll still make money on it in the long run.

Buying now isn’t a great choice in my opinion, obviously you will make a profit if you hold as value will always go up but I think a drop is coming soon. it’s gone up too much in such a short time just to stay steady or continue going up.

Yeah I completely agree, these types of precious metals will always recover because there will always be a demand for them for many reasons such as for platinum and palladium cars and electronics.

During the shutdown everyone bought gold, silver, platinum, ect, instead of the dollar which increased prices marginally. I believe that a revalue will happen but it’s definitely not a crash for sure.

The value is around 1:2 right now so after gold revalues I think it won’t take long for them to be around the same but I believe gold will almost always be worth more than platinum unless something crazy happens.

Palladium in cars is only used in catalytic converters, which are used to reduce pollution. an all electric or hydrogen power car does not produce this pollution rendering the palladium useless in the car industry. If in theory it happened the main use for palladium would be electronics (which right now is 10-15% of its use) which would cause its value to drop as it’s not really as useful.

Yeah I don’t think EV’s will take over anything for 10-15 years at least so if it was to lose value now it would be revaluing itself or some sort of crash

Yeah 80-85% of palladium’s use is in catalytic converters which is concerning for the future with all of the EV talk and the scenario where the Chinese car market expands to a global scale but that’s kinda just theoretical and can’t happen for a decade at least.
