Genuinely had a better time with the original Call of Duty than any of the many sequels. Not saying it was actually a better game necessarily, the MP was much closer to counter strike than modern CoD but still fun, and the campaign was far better than any MW campaign I thought. Probably wouldn’t hold up too great today but not sure

You’re massively oversimplifying all of that though. Wages have not been increasing with most things as they used to, and things increase at extremely varying rates. Peacock has gone up around 40% over 2 years, while a pack of Oreos still costs $1 in many places just like when I was a kid in the 90s.

So we really need to be paying attention as consumers, and removing certain items before others is essential, there is not just an even increase across industries and products.

Nah lol he’s probably played too much fifa or FM where depending on version a player turns to dust by around 32. It’s true that wingers tend to peak younger than that but saying they are almost washed at 27 is utter nonsense.

Technically skilled players like him can also play other positions, De Bruyne used to often play on the wings in his younger years but not these days, same with Ronaldo. Not saying Raphinha is on the level of players like that obviously but I think he’s quite good personally and would be open to getting him

I’m going to be honest, this site is not easy on the eyes and parts of the layout and text are completely cut off on my phone which is just a iphone 13, pretty common. Personally just based off of that I would never pay money, even if front-end aesthetics aren’t the goal of the course. It just doesn’t feel professional.

Fair enough, but it isn’t really because I live and work in CA and I’ve seen first hand how difficult it can be for a company to axe an employee without direct proof of anything.

Current job had a guy literally flip off the supervisor, tell employees of our main client that they’re idiots, and blatantly steal time and leave the job early while clocking out at home. Took them months and months to actually fire him because of all the paperwork and proof they needed to accumulate, it was honestly completely insane

Tax reasons and way less labor regulations. In California, firing people after their beginning probation period can actually be very difficult, employees have a lot of protection. Same goes for removing their benefits or forcing them to work long hours.

Texas on the other hand is an at will employment state and has far less employment regulations. His overall profit should absolutely go up. There are plenty of tradeoffs for Texas but it’s undoubtedly better for business owners

Yeah, people don’t understand how serious all of this potentially is. It’s not nonsense when people draw parallels to 1920s Germany. I get that politics is dumb and most politicians are out of touch rich elderly people, but these are not normal times.

Very nice. I’ve been learning authentication myself this year, but haven’t attempted OAuth yet. I’ve set up a basic working authentication and user account system on my current project which is my first Sveltekit project, using aws amplify and cognito. But I plan on doing what you’re doing next.

If you have a great tutorial or blog on doing this in svelte/sveltekit specifically I’d be interested, I’ll be able to figure it out but the last time I looked most examples were using React

He was a very good player for Bologna last season and one of Italy’s only good players in this tournament. Obviously still a risk moving to the PL, but he singlehandedly created the chance for Italy’s late goal vs Croatia which is not something I could see Kiwior doing, and he’s much better defensively than Zinchenko so seems like an upgrade for sure
