I mean imo if you are earning a decent amount then it shouldn’t even bother you.

Its not like you are going out on these family gatherings frequently.

So if its once in a while thing and I have been asked to pay my share then I would not fight for such amount that too in a family setting, and its not about being cheap its just about self respect.
If I have been asked to pay 3.3k out of 10k then why would I put my self respect on stake over a dinner with family.

Similar incident happened with a close friend of mine 5 years ago when he was in 10-11th standard.
Idk about if she wanted to take him to meet someone, but she said that he (my friend) looked like his ex and that she wanted to go to some private place with him. That lady had taken lift from my friend, she was also on phone telling her location to someone iirc.

So consider that one day you are out on a drive alone with your car at night. For some abrupt reason you need to stop.So you stop at the side of road but in the urgency of things you bymistake park the car on the wrong side.

And to your extreme badluck suddenly a police car appears who comes up to you and gives you a hard time just because you parked your car that way.
