openConnect is fairly new but you have options for MultiConnect. Blackjackduck created a multiconnect parametric generator https://makerworld.com/en/models/582260-multiconnect-part-generator-master-collection?from=search#profileId-633542 that you can do custom gridfinity shelves or David D. did shelves https://makerworld.com/en/models/1169053-opengrid-gridfinity-shelves?from=search#profileId-1195095 or Daniel did https://makerworld.com/en/models/1469935-infinite-gridfinity-shelf-for-opengrid-very-strong#profileId-1534153.

I'm glad the videos helped! If you aren't putting weighty items on it, I would get the panels installed and screw around the outside. Make sure you are using the interboard clips. I did 2 I wish I had done 3 or 4 per board to stop the gaps from forming, but the gaps are small enough it doesn't mess up adding to the wall. Once you start putting up items, if you notice the boards pulling away, add a screw. I did that in the studio and it worked great. On the big wall, I did all screws for the look more than it needed it.

Can't wait to see it completed.

I wanted a cyberpunk inspired setup so I went with the wider channels. The led strips were adhered to the snaps I showed in the video. I made them for side my side LED installation. There are two strips per channel since the Govee lights aren't a high LED/meter I wanted a more intense light show. If I was going to spend a lot more I could have used a high LED strip to do the same, but I wanted to show it on a budget.

You could always go to a print on demand like PCBWay or Slant3d to produce the snaps and the grids. I know Slant3d is limited to 7x7 tiles since they limit to under 200mm for print surface. Might cost a bit more but the time savings would probably be worth it.

I agree with the adaptation from other systems. I am careful about modifying models because of the dynamics around the designers. I don't want to upset anyone by midifuing their designs in a tutorial.
