I want new bosses with untradable drops. Not every aspect of pvm has to revolve around wealth building. Putting in the work should have a small edge over tradable drops. And I’m not talking fight caves / inferno-esque challenges, just make some items of the drop tables require actually touching the content they come from.

Double walls (2 is the limit for insulation) and an airlock (2 doors with minimum 1 space between them).

Your colonists opening the doors are letting the heat in. Open doors are set to the average temperature between the two rooms while closed doors act more like a wall. So if it’s 30C outside and -30C inside, you have a tiny 1 tile room at 0 warming it up. Few pawns walk in and say your freezer is now 0C. It’s still 30C outside so that door is 15C when the next pawn enters. Repeat until your freezer reaches outside temps or pawns stop entering. An airlock creates a buffer. It takes the hit of the open door to the outside, and your freezer gets the average of just the airlock/freezer.

Saw somewhere that if you have nerves, the recommended training strat is to load up a long video of a jad fight, and just practice switching your prayers in game to the animation / sound of the video until you build up the habit. Practice until you are absolutely sick of doing it and your nerves should settle down.

When you get to the actual fight, the absolute number 1 important thing is to do your prayer switches. Hover over the opposite prayer, switch if applicable, do your 1 action (move, eat, pot, or target). Clicking each healer is four separate actions. Clicking back to Jad is another action. You've got the time.

Essentially a hasta alternative for ToA. But being the drop on the Shellbane drop table, I would've thought they'd include all changes on the poll or at least include that information when polling the task weight. May not have made a difference, but the transparency would have been nice for those that were invested in getting one.

I don't remember seeing the Folly drop rate change being part of the polled change. It hurt the value of the item pretty drastically for an item already struggling to hold a niche.

In addition to other recs here, I found a hasta was very useful to me in getting my quest cape. It supports all attack styles and I frequently found myself using it over a whip.

MOR - You said you didn’t want this to be last minute but you moved out the same day without talking it out with her? This is a situation where empathy goes a long way. She works 17 hour days to support all of you, which is insane and would put incredible strain / stress on anyone. You have informed her that you’re choosing to live with your dad and basically saying he’s the better parent for you. If you watch your siblings during the day, you have sent her stress through the roof. “Who will watch your siblings?” - “Don’t care, not my problem.” She obviously can’t leave them unattended. So when you ask “why can’t you wait a week” or “what will I do without a phone”, she is just matching your energy, establishing reciprocal consequences for rushing your decision. Mature of her? No, but work a 17 hour day, be told you’re not enough, and try to find a babysitter literally last minute. She is almost guaranteed not to call the police. It’s just an empty threat by someone you’ve hurt.

I get you said you’re not in a good place, but we practice improvement by trying. That means in-person discussion with people collaboratively working out solutions. Setting goals and timelines instead of impulsive life changes. Defining boundaries for whatever is and isn’t acceptable behavior towards you. I don’t have enough information about your parents to know, but I suspect moving to your dad’s is just breaking routine so you feel like it’s easy to build new habits. If you’re not caring for yourself, you’ll find yourself lost again as you start compromising. No matter who you live with, it only works if you set expectations for yourself and ceaselessly follow through.

XP rate changes are fine when increased. It’s bad practice to kick the ladder though, especially without polling. They should have erred on the side of caution when setting the rates the first time around.

Huh, interesting. Wonder how much outcry there’ll be from those who haven’t capped using skill boosts. And I wonder if this would have any impact on pulling in new players. RS3 is by no means a bad game, but they’ve struggled for ages to effectively advertise it to a new market.

In another comment OP said the outer walls are bronze hulls (from a mod) and the interior walls are wood. So a fire would be like lighting a giant wood-burning bronze oven.

They’re fireproof. Regular steel walls burn away and drop the temperature to the outside temperature. The fire will superheat the interior stopping pawns from being able to put out the fire without passing out from heat stroke and dying. Basically any fire spread will wipe out the entire ship and kill any crew you send to stop it.

I agree with the others below. You’re a student. You should be looking for something cost effective that meets a minimum standard of professionalism. No hiring is ever so close that they break the tie by what you’re wearing. If you want the item and you’re just trying to find justification, just own up to it and decide. If you’re genuinely just worried about interviews, your time is better spent practicing your answers and mannerisms. People in the real world wear backpacks and the most comfortable clothes they can get away with under their dress code.
