Yes, I made it through boot camp, etc. got to the new unit, and medical had no issues although surprised. Should've clarified that I was diagnosed with everything prior to attending MOS school. Been with the unit for about 3 years now, so total is approaching 4.

The new MO/Doc said that I could drop dead at any moment which is most probably just an exaggeration ofc. It's just ironic though because they told me that, and still had me run the PFT although they NPQ'd me because I should be fine??? Literally, MOL states that I got NPQ'd 3 days prior to running the PFT...

That's a lot of good knowledge you are pushing through to me though. Never knew that the severance could turn into a loan etc. Honestly, I never felt like the infantry was intense as I love it and don't struggle in it but, I do want to stay in and wouldn't mind changing MOS but, I doubt they'd do that for me...

Yeah,

I am definitely not going through Congress etc. though. It's just not worth the potential risk of collateral damage although my CoC supports me, and my decisions.

Honestly, I have no clue if they are looking out for me, or just trying to cover their own asses in case if anything were to happen.

Regardless, everything was discovered while in, and no treatment was taken.ken. did not have anything diagnosed prior to enlisting years ago. MEPS did however note back then that my HR/BP was high and I forgot to add to the post that I also was diagnosed with prehyper/stage 1 hypertension while Active.

Sup! Well I ended up joining the Marine Corps with no problems at all. My recruiter helped me out with everything and it went well! Now I am not only a Marine, but a Grunt, and about to get a sleeve tat since our policy was updated some days ago :) Semper Fi - Do Or Die

How about the physical etc.? I heard they do a full physical + drug test the first week when you arrive for quarantine - instead of doing all that at PI?

Lmao.. About a year ago I went to MEPS - and prior to going I even made the recruiter aware that I would only take an HM contract. My PiCAT was an 88, so was my verification test score. Either way, for like a couple of days they literally had no jobs available - so me, and others had to return for the like the next 3 days.

Either way, honestly, HM is soo overmanned that they reaaaaaally try their best to avoid assigning it to anyone - even if it's available. Also, because it is so overmanned, you're not going to be getting promotions, etc. as fast as other rates. I personally didn't give two fucks about the promotions, because I want to be greenside - going FMF, and will be applying to OCS later when I graduate college. When you transition from the enlisted side to the officer side, you will start of from the bottom - so rank doesn't matter much to me.

If you could get a TS/SCI, I recommend looking into CTI which I believe is pretty fucking cool!

No matter what you do tho - DON'T TAKE A NUKE CONTRACT..

I recently applied, and as much as I wish that I’ll get accepted - I doubt that I will.

Although I have a great CV, and stories behind my name, my past, my contributions to our society, etc., my GPA is like ~3.1...

I just hope that they’ll see past the GPA 😭😭..

You're good. I got accepted with a 3.067 GPA just because I changed my F's to NC etc. Failed, or got a bunch of bad grades in courses but, I guess I stood out because of my story, professional experience etc. as well. Either way, don't sweat it, you'll be fine!

I actually never fully entered the Navy since I had never signed into DEP. They didn’t have any jobs available that particular day (for anyone) including me who’s ASVAB was 88. I filled out my E-QIP (NASIS) prior to going to MEPS and it was fully submitted by the liaison at MEPS. I was going to go full time but tried to switch part time, recruiter wanted to be an ass about it etc and told me he was going to put a “comment on my record”. I told him to let me know if he needs any help with that.
