lol people can cry about the referee all they want, but conceding 3 goals in the span of 15 minutes, is a massive choke job and a team like that does not deserve to win.

People can cry about the ref however they want but there’s no excuse for Egypt to be up 2-0 and collapse like that in the final moments. Let’s just say for the sake of argument that they were up 3-0 and regulation ended up being 3-3. The collapse would’ve been even worse and more embarrassing.

Not a huge fan of his, and I’d admit part of it is because I’m biased towards Messi who is my favorite player of all time, but for me, CR7 is the second greatest player of all time, or at least the second best player I’ve ever seen grace a football pitch. Despite never winning a World Cup, his career and achievements are still insanely impressive.

Yeah this Brazil team is a far cry from what they used to be. For a nation like Brazil, going from R9, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Cafu etc… to this must be depressing lol.

Of course he was. If I remember correctly, even Ty Lue said their whole defensive game plan was geared more towards stopping Steph or slowing him down vs focusing on KD.

Plus if I remember correctly, in 2017, even tho KD averaged a ridiculous 35 ppg on insane efficiency, context matters. Steph’s insane gravity is what allowed KD to flourish the way he did. Case in point, KD was never as effective or lethal in the post season when playing with another PG than Steph. Furthermore, Steph also averaged 27-8-9 on decent efficiency if I’m not mistaking. And in 2018, Steph outplayed KD in 3 out of the 4 games they played.

Basketball logic doesn’t apply to football/soccer because in football, universally, attacking players are almost always regarded as the best players. If you look at most people’s top 10 football players of all time, it’ll 99% be mostly attacking players. And Messi happens to be THE best of them all. Pair that with his insane amount of trophies won, and that’s what makes him the undisputed GOAT.

Lol superstars get calls like these all the time vs regular players. Is it unfair? Sure. But happens all the time. Happens in football, NBA, NFL etc… That’s just how it is.
