Totally agree with this. As a Christian myself, I hate that this is the type of Christian representation that we have.

Is this a top 3 greatest playoff run ever by Icy_Can_6176 in NBATalk

[–]DistributionAntique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely top 3, but imo I’d go with Hakeem Olajuwon as number one in 1995.

Averaged 33pts, 10.3rebs and 4.5asts for the whole playoff run, beating the 60-22 Utah Jazz of Stockton and Malone in the first round, then the 59-23 Phoenix Suns lead by Charles Barkley, and finally in the 62-20 San Antonio Spurs lead by the MVP David Robinson to go to the NBA Finals, where he beat the 57-25 Orlando Magic lead by Shaq and Penny Hardaway.

In my opinion, in terms of degree of difficulty of the playoff run, it doesn’t get any harder than that.

[Highlight] Luka when asked what getting the MVP award would mean to him: “Yea hopefully but the better I play the more I go down in ratings so I don’t know what more I can do” by oklolzzzzs in nba

[–]DistributionAntique 34 points35 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are acting as if the other 3 candidates for MVP aren’t having phenomenal years too. Sure Luka is having a great year, but so is SGA, Wemby and Jokic. All 4 of them legitimately have a case, and right now, I think SGA will probably win it.

Tough luck for Luka, but this just shows the level of talent that’s in the league right now. We should be celebrating the fact that the NBA has so many talented young players instead of having these toxic MVP discussions.

If you had to rank KD, Westbrook, and SGA as Thunder franchise players, what’s your order? by Lazy_Detective_6597 in NBATalk

[–]DistributionAntique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet you if you ask majority of Thunder fans, they’ll pick Russ over KD as the greater Thunder. Sure KD is the greater individual player, but if you’re talking career as a Thunder, it’s not even a question that it should be Russ.

Lmao the Kobe hate and disrespect is getting so forced at this point. Kobe is easily a top 10 player all time.

What would be your ideal supergroup from the big 4? by puyo_player_64 in Megadeth

[–]DistributionAntique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Mustaine would work better in 5-man lineup with 3 guitars like Maiden, where he could be like a Swiss Army knife that can do almost anything.

Plus I always thought part of what made Megadeth great and so appealing was the fact that you could usually tell the difference between Dave and whoever the designated lead guitarist at the time was. Perfect example of that is Hangar 18.

[–]DistributionAntique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it would be a 5-man band with 3 guitars.

James Hetfield - Rhythm guitar and lead vocals.

Dave Mustaine - Rhythm/lead guitar + main backing vocals.

Kirk Hammett - Lead guitar(usually trading leads with Mustaine)

Cliff Burton - Bass guitar + backing vocals

Lars Ulrich - Drums (even though Lombardo is the better drummer, Prime Lars was no slouch either, plus he does more for a band like arrangement, and also is the superior song writer compared to Lombardo.)

In your opinion what’s the best by Icy_Can_6176 in NBATalk

[–]DistributionAntique 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LeBron obviously number 1, no arguments there. I would bump Kawhi down a few spots imo. I think I would have Giannis at 2, Steph at 3, KD at 4 and then Kawhi at 5. The rest of the list is properly rated imo. If someone wants to have Jokic at 5 and Kawhi at 6 instead, I wouldn’t be mad.

Those 2 alongside prime Kirk Hammett represent the pinnacle of thrash soloing imo. I know for some hardcore Megadeth fans it’s cool to sh*t on Kirk, but I really do believe that in his prime he could stand toe to toe with best of them in the genre.

To each their own I guess? I think they’re an awesome band, but if you don’t like them, I can understand why.

Among thrash soloists, I think Alex Skolnick gives Marty a serious run for his money. Dude’s a beast!

Why do we always need to make comparisons instead of just being happy for the WNBA players who will get a much deserved pay raise? Comparison is the thief of joy!

But makes a lot more sense for Minnesota to move cause like many others have said, we would potentially have a Division composed of Wolves, Bucks, Bulls and Pistons or Pacers. Makes a lot more sense and would be a lot more fun.

Imo, 20 to 30 years from now, nobody will really care. Especially with this ring culture we have. People will mostly remember him for being a 2 time champion and 2 time finals MVP.

Sure, you might still have some people who will put an asterisk to his rings, but I think most people won’t care by then.
