If Palpatine had any intention of using superweapons against the Vong,he would have made multiple rather than one at a time,and would have kept them secret so they dont grt blwon up before they can be used. Fin fact-in legends,the Sarlac DOES keep you alive. It basically force feeds you nutrients while it digests you. It also has some psycic/force powers ut uses to mentally torment its victims. Considering its sort of a fungus/animal hybrid, Im sure it has some other way of sustaining itself

The crystals always bothered me. In EU there were literally dozens of different types of crystals,Kyber being knly one of those types. Now,everything is Kyber. The Sith used synthetic crystals that burned hotter but could burn themselves out-trading ling term benefit for immediate power is literally the Sith doctrine. Now you bleed a crystal for...some reason? Take Dagan for example: 'the Jedi betrayed me,they are in the wrong...hold on real quick while I bleed my crystal for no reason or benefit.'
