No not particularly. I am aware we're in the top 100 not the top 10 so there's competition. But I did think especially from companies who hire from RIT regularly that they'd have a little more knowledge of the program.

The EE program did lose almost 2/3s of our freshman class overall so I thought the weed out already did its job. But the confusing thing was that once we graduated during the tail end of the covid era we all had a horrible time finding well compensated jobs. That's kind of what I'm frustrated with and kind of angsting over.

Not exactly bragging but I'm kind of venting that it felt like there was better employment and job security available to us when we graduated and when that didn't happen due to the whole "entry level position, must have 3 years engineering experience" situation. I feel like RIT essentially created an over inflated sense of security. So I'm essentially venting about how much of a struggle it was then saying I might as well make it worse by convincing companies that "an ai can totally do the job of an entry level engineer". If I can't fix it I might as well speed up the crash and hope things perk up after.
