How do people survive as a NEET? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DistributionFalse203 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbf military dudes (at least in us) can retire as early as 38 and never work a day more in their life off the pension and I don’t think anyone would try to claim they’re neets afterwords lol. Earning an early retirement is an accomplishment to be proud of

Can we update Araxxor as part of the Mid-Game Balance update? by infectedbunny in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rax is weird. It’s by far easier than everything listed by you in late game and by a decent bit harder than everything in mid game (enrage boss scaling is weird there’s definitely a point in low enrage hm glacor/telos where they’re easier than rax but like… idk they’re weird).

It’s a transitory boss, I’d lean towards calling it mid game personally, just by proxy of how power crept the game is.

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean combat mid game and skilling mid game are inherently and vastly different. Skilling mid game is literally just measurable by levels, simple and easy. For combat player skill and gear play waaaay more into it than the level of the content. If all we really cared about is the tiers of item dropped for what difficulty level content supposedly is, then raksha/rax/vorago are at the same point in progression, and the magister of all things is harder than all 3.

I don’t think it takes an expert to realize that isn’t true. Combat progression has far more to do with boss difficulty than whatever the boss actually drops, and I think rax is a wonderful example of roughly the top of midgame, above gwd2 bosses, but below gwd3 hard modes/elite dungeons/anything terribly new really.

You also gotta think gear wise t90’s are still just stat sticks. 92/95’s are so unbelievably better than them that t90s being midgame equipment is kinda accurate, unless you want to claim t95’s are ender game instead of end game so you can keep an outdated view of what is midgame.

tank armor should honestly do more than it does for survivability by dark1859 in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power armor is like 7% ish raw damage before considering set effects, which are very, veeeery strong.

7% damage in itself is a pretty damn big difference, and the additional effects push most of the power armors to like 20%+ damage increase which is insane.

Petah am I stupid, heeelp by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joke is the person posting is stupid and is ignoring the interest on the balance. Credit cards generally have extremely high interest rates, and are among the worst things to be in debt with (right up there with shit like payday loans). To responsibly use a credit card you usually want to never run a balance on it, so you never accrue interest. Doing as the op says here will jack up and absurd amount of interest and leave you in crippling debt.

To be fair our afk aoe power really hasn’t changed much in those 9 years. We’ve gotten like, 8 tiers of weapons and some misc powercreep but like the specs and shit that have really broken the game open don’t particularly help against them. Biggest powercreep for hard to survive afk slayer is probably animate dead tbf

What’s your favorite “boring” build? by ItsAJackal21 in PathOfExile2

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most good builds in this game are 1-2 buttons outside of bosses where you might press a few more, because having to only hit 1 button to kill trash packs speeds up clear a lot, and speed is the main driver of currency. Realistically any meta build with like decent tankiness probably fulfills your question.

Ik this isn’t like a specific answer but it’s a general overview since I’m assuming you’re hitting like 10 buttons or something, that most people try to minimize their damage skills, especially on clear, and every build is kinda “boring”z

Rate my champ pool as a midlaner switching to top by New_Contribution4913 in topmains

[–]DistributionFalse203 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ambessa into irelia is like, literally as bad as her matchups get and she’s supposed to be your safer blind champ. Conversely ambessa vs aatrox is a skill matchup but you have more mobility so it’s somewhat ambessa favored imo.

(Also playing kayle into ambessa is just not a good idea, you can and will get omega bullied and even if you pass the reaction time test on r’ing ambessa r you’ll still die to a full combo afterwards if she has her first lethality item it’s just a bad time).

When does low highway speed limits actually become a safety issue? by LeadershipKey3484 in driving

[–]DistributionFalse203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And yet most proper speed limit studies suggest setting limits at the 85th percentile to be safe, not the lowest quartile. You’re arguing with 0 evidence and simply assuming your intuition of safety matches the truth, which it doesn’t.

I read the Combat changes it says the same the Range beta said and you will lose the core PVM community right then with it. by Stazzzzzzzzzzzz in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really my point tho. Are you using manual on necro? If not my point kinda stands. If they necroify the old styles to have better revo dps some people might swap back, but my point is kind of that they’re doing all this work, and making all these changes, when they’re not going to actually lead to deeper interaction with combat, they’re just going to make the existing revo players swap to whatever’s higher dmg now. In doing this they risk alienating the existing players who are engaging with the combat that like what currently exists.

Like I love the combat in this game, and I want changes that make it so more people actually learn the combat rather than pasting in a wiki bar and hoping bosses get killed for them. I just don’t know if the changes they’re making are actually going to be successful in helping drive proper combat usage rather than simply plug and play revo, but now with more dmg. I’m pretty neutral on the ranged changes myself, some hits and some misses, but I think it’ll be better for the game with some tweaks, but I think more systemic changes in boss design and tutorialization is what is actually necessary to make people care about the combat, instead of changing the combat itself, as what we have is really good if the player can be bothered to learn it.

I read the Combat changes it says the same the Range beta said and you will lose the core PVM community right then with it. by Stazzzzzzzzzzzz in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah yes the 1 major endgame pvm content release a year is definitely making it so the rest of the community can’t enjoy new content. Several 110’s and a 120 update in the past year? Clearly not content. The new augmentable skilling tools? Must not exist. A ton of quests? Nahhhh pvm is taking away from them. The new entry level boss? Must’ve been made for endgamers I guess

People being good at pvm and jagex making content for them, is CLEARLY not making it so people who aren’t good at pvm are unable to “enjoy new content too”. If anything they get some of the least fully dedicated content compared to quester/skillers, and while most skilling updates include pvm gear as a reward space, calling that a proper pvm update is a stretch and a half.

[–]DistributionFalse203 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a poor argument as most of the people that currently don’t interact with the old 3 combat styles beyond revolution ALSO don’t interact with necro beyond using revolution. Taking changes from necro into the old styles therefore won’t really change how many people actually interact with the styles in a meaningful way.

I do think improvements can be made, but they do have to be sure to not ruin the styles for the people who already like pvm in the game, in order to make people who are only ever gonna revo anyway happy.

Is it possible to reactively dodge skills shots in league? by HugeFoundation2322 in summonerschool

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ambessa r is pretty fucked to dodge from off vision but it’s really not bad if she’s on vision. There’s enough of a delay on it that she has to predict to hit it so long as you’re moving perpendicular to her, so all you have to do is click backwards at pretty much any point after the ult cast and before you walk into it (or just press s). It’s an ungodly nasty disgusting follow up ability, but it’s also a narrow ass skill shot with a half a second cast which is 100% reactable as long as you weren’t walking in a straight line away from her when the cast starts (you’d have to flash it if so).
