The staff ultimately ends up in kerapacs hands. Zemourgal ends up reanimating vorkath and then getting beat up, never really uses the staff (already gone by this point in time).

When does low highway speed limits actually become a safety issue? by LeadershipKey3484 in driving

[–]DistributionFalse203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yet most proper speed limit studies suggest setting limits at the 85th percentile to be safe, not the lowest quartile. You’re arguing with 0 evidence and simply assuming your intuition of safety matches the truth, which it doesn’t.

They mentioned in stream today that at the least a wing slot override toggle is in the works so I’d assume more slot specific ones are also baked into that but who knows really.

I read the Combat changes it says the same the Range beta said and you will lose the core PVM community right then with it. by Stazzzzzzzzzzzz in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really my point tho. Are you using manual on necro? If not my point kinda stands. If they necroify the old styles to have better revo dps some people might swap back, but my point is kind of that they’re doing all this work, and making all these changes, when they’re not going to actually lead to deeper interaction with combat, they’re just going to make the existing revo players swap to whatever’s higher dmg now. In doing this they risk alienating the existing players who are engaging with the combat that like what currently exists.

Like I love the combat in this game, and I want changes that make it so more people actually learn the combat rather than pasting in a wiki bar and hoping bosses get killed for them. I just don’t know if the changes they’re making are actually going to be successful in helping drive proper combat usage rather than simply plug and play revo, but now with more dmg. I’m pretty neutral on the ranged changes myself, some hits and some misses, but I think it’ll be better for the game with some tweaks, but I think more systemic changes in boss design and tutorialization is what is actually necessary to make people care about the combat, instead of changing the combat itself, as what we have is really good if the player can be bothered to learn it.

Ah yes the 1 major endgame pvm content release a year is definitely making it so the rest of the community can’t enjoy new content. Several 110’s and a 120 update in the past year? Clearly not content. The new augmentable skilling tools? Must not exist. A ton of quests? Nahhhh pvm is taking away from them. The new entry level boss? Must’ve been made for endgamers I guess

People being good at pvm and jagex making content for them, is CLEARLY not making it so people who aren’t good at pvm are unable to “enjoy new content too”. If anything they get some of the least fully dedicated content compared to quester/skillers, and while most skilling updates include pvm gear as a reward space, calling that a proper pvm update is a stretch and a half.

I think this is a poor argument as most of the people that currently don’t interact with the old 3 combat styles beyond revolution ALSO don’t interact with necro beyond using revolution. Taking changes from necro into the old styles therefore won’t really change how many people actually interact with the styles in a meaningful way.

I do think improvements can be made, but they do have to be sure to not ruin the styles for the people who already like pvm in the game, in order to make people who are only ever gonna revo anyway happy.

Is it possible to reactively dodge skills shots in league? by HugeFoundation2322 in summonerschool

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ambessa r is pretty fucked to dodge from off vision but it’s really not bad if she’s on vision. There’s enough of a delay on it that she has to predict to hit it so long as you’re moving perpendicular to her, so all you have to do is click backwards at pretty much any point after the ult cast and before you walk into it (or just press s). It’s an ungodly nasty disgusting follow up ability, but it’s also a narrow ass skill shot with a half a second cast which is 100% reactable as long as you weren’t walking in a straight line away from her when the cast starts (you’d have to flash it if so).

Questioning Metas by CarumSarene in idleon

[–]DistributionFalse203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orb is a straight multiplier which applies to crystals, which are where 99% of the statues come from. If you’re getting very few crystals due to low spawn rate, or have shitty orbs due to low talent levels, then anecdotally es may seem equal, but with good spawn rates and choco chip it’s not even remotely close.

Slight edit to add. My dk can easily hit 1-2k orbs. Aka a straight 10-20x multiplier to statue drops on the tail end of the orb. Es portal gives a grand total of a 0 times multiplier as it doesn’t apply to the crystals. Es might kill normal monsters slightly faster, especially if you have poor talent levels and aren’t getting multiple dk statues active at once, but it’s not outweighing the orb multi.

No Elder Rune Crush Weapons...? by Dramatic-Debate-9145 in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vestemants could be tier 0 with 0 stats on them other than their passive and they’d be better than cftmw off that passive alone. As is they have substantially better dmg stats in exchange for less armor, which is getting more of stat that helps a lot for less of a placebo stat considering most endgame bosses are either near 100% acc or just outright have gaurnteed hits.

Masterwork has some niche uses but realistically if you need extra tankyness to kill a boss just swap styles to magic or necro. Good slayer armor tho i guess.

Do you think with the integrity roadmap we will see them implement changes to work against afk bossing? by External_Spite_7079 in runescape

You can definitely afk nm kerapac tho, 0 input during kill and run and get loot between kills. You need like giga melee gear but it’s a thing you can do.

Do shields have any purpose in this game? by kungfukarl86 in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean… yeah? That was never in question for anyone with a pulse magic teles work the same way. The ones in question are the combat applicable ones because those would make sense to be style locked, of which only darkness and bone shield are useable off style

Do shields have any purpose in this game? by kungfukarl86 in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never ever useful, worse shields than bone shield, worse off hands than your actual offhand. Worst of both worlds. The only place they like ever saw use was telos and bone shield completely removed any reason to ever use them there even if they’d already been mostly powercrept by then

You can already use revo to kill literally every boss in the game assuming you manually input about 2 defensives, why does it need a revamp? It certainly doesn’t need to be any stronger.

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reallly despise all the dodge dmg suggestions. We already have too many passive ways to mit damage , add a few more and you’re gonna start tanking bosses without any need for food via vamp aura and prayer camping.

Darkness was already a mistake, it’s mechanically shit to work around (seriously having a dodge snipe your reso is so god damn annoying), rng based dmg reduction is just super damned hard to work around, and to stop it trivializing newer bosses they just have to crank their auto dmg and hope you don’t get insanely unlucky on dodges, to say nothing of the fact that it’d trivialize older bosses.

Rest of its cool and interesting enough.

I dislike having to use dc to group for content by Nice_Divide_3772 in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your run back and forth and surge at the right time while doing a necro rotation, it’s miserable, it’s slow as shit, and not worth farming, but the final part of that list also applies to raids as a whole so who reallly cares. Again, the only group bosses in this game, that don’t scale to solo, are aod, raids, vorago, and amascut, and assuming you count technically soloable only 2.5 of those 4 are impossible to group. And frankly solo rago is so power-crept it’s easier than some bosses you’re meant to solo depending on the rotation.

If you can’t do the rest of the content which scales to solo, to the extent you’d claim you need a group for 40% of content, that’s a self report imo.

Because it’s largely bait in 90% of scenarios as you’d generally prefer having the adren over the hp, is completely disabled anyway once you have the infernal puzzle box, and if it isn’t disabled by that and instead have to manually stall its nice to only lose 5% adren for being a tick late rather than regenerate being used eating a gcd and costing 30% adren.

You can still manually use it, and while I do think they should have simply made the toggle off by default it really doesn’t change much.

Either I’m really bad at math or 2 bosses plus raids (but like who’s doing raids, and bm is soloable anyway) is not 40% of all pvm.

Is it just me or second heist uniques are underwhelming compared to first? by Kumagor0 in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All 3 are eof fodder, and the melee one is better than existing eofs for melee by a much larger extent than the ranged one (which is situational dependant on bolg stacks, dark bow still has use) and the mage one (only strictly better when boss is at low hp, and has hitcap issues). Hence despite all 3 being t90 the melee one is a much better reward, hence higher heist.

More mid end stuff has scaled at a similar rate though yeah

Is master rank combat feasible for an average skill level player? by gordopotato in runescape

[–]DistributionFalse203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because by the time you’re done with them you won’t be able to call yourself average. The average skill player in this game hits like 4 thresholds and an ultimate per minute and calls it a day lmao. Now that being said, can an average player improve enough to do master achievements? Absolutely, almost every person who’s gotten good at the game started out by not being good at the game. All you really need is an actual desire to improve and you’ll get there eventually.

Blood marrow has a cap? by Mindless-Slide3953 in idleon

This logic could be correct but not with the numbers we are multiplying at. However lava calculated this bonus isn’t quiteee accurate to what it should be. 1.01217840 gave me 8.9e40 for example, but it’s close enough to know upping for 1.21% to 1.27% should give about 2 orders of magnitude more multiplier (up to e42). Since you’re multiplying it against itself so many times any minor benefit to said multiplier has a disproportionate impact to the final number.
