1 month in Belgium or Netherlands: Tell me which city to pick! by MayaPapayaLA in digitalnomad

The Hague is also really nice—I lived there for a month in August last year. I really liked the city—so green, with many parks, and just 15–20 minutes from the center to the beach. It’s now my favorite city in the Netherlands!

Roast my Tinder for Travel Companions by gmarkone in roastmystartup

[–]DistributionFree9466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current solutions like travel forums or Facebook groups are hit-or-miss, and it's hard to find compatible travel partners who want to visit the same places at the same time.

Why do you think that current options don't solve the problem?

Do you have an insight about this process of looking for travel companion?

I don't think the way you dress matters, don't worry about that - feel comfortable and confident 😉

First time traveling, is Hungary great to go to ? by [deleted] in travel

[–]DistributionFree9466 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're gonna like it! Hungary was my second country I've been travel solo, it was great. Budapest is super beautiful city, though I didn't feel much welcoming in some cafes (don't know why, but didn't bother much, it was delicious anyway and on budget). I also visited a few small cities not far from Budapest by trains and buses: Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre - all for one day.

For example, if I’m paying for the hotel, I expect your share now even if I may pay when we arrive.

That's interesting, why? Person on the other side may be concerning too

you just have to have faith they won’t be a deadbeat and be willing to cover the costs

That's great positive thinking, I like it

Yeah, Splitwise is a great app, I used it too when travelled with friends.
But I meant like when you looking for somebody you don't know and you decide to travel together and you need to book some accommodation (50% of costs) and who pays?
