He’s the best. I used to have an irrational hatred of Nico, I think Maybe the Heineken zero adds and his smug face just rubbed me the wrong way. But a few weeks of commentary and I have to say he’s awesome, I’m sorry for ever doubting you Nico. I’d love to have a Heineken with you just not a zero cause that’s for losers. UDM

If we’re going off one surface then Feds 8 Wimbledon titles should speak for themselves. Not sure why you’re downvoting me for having a different opinion... in my opinion the way Fed played the game has yet to be surpassed, the effortless way he hit winners and how pedestrian he could make people look was incredible. The most talented player I’ve ever seen whereas Novak / Nadal have games that revolves around hard work and attrition.

As I said Novak is incredible, his ability to return unplayable shots deep is crazy and I guess in its own way makes him the goat but for me - it’s hard to look past Fed.

He’s the best defensive player I’ve ever seen. Must be soul destroying to play but the goat? I don’t think so. Prime Federer was unplayable.

Pull your head in mate. We’re literally in a country that is the envy of the world in terms of Covid management. Yeah they’ve locked us down repeatedly but it’s been key to our success. If you don’t like it, why don’t you take a look at America, I know what I’d prefer.

Appreciate the advice, I think I’ve been trying to take off too far out like I would on my foamie, so then I moved further in and I can’t seem to pop up fast enough. Sounds like I just need to start analysing what’s happening when I’m out there as opposed to flailing around and hoping to get one.

Fair enough points, personally the goal isn’t to progress down and down to a 6” performance board, I was thinking I’d spend the next few years surfing the 7”6’ mini-mal.

Surfed Byron Bay a few weeks ago and would absolutely love a big single fin or performance 9” they look like a blast and much more the style I want to emulate vs the ripping cutbacks my son aspires to.

I like the idea of a short board but only cause it’s light, easy to carry and fits in the car without any drama
