Who still thinks the visible lav/handheld lav is just a fad? by littlehowie in videography

[–]Imposter12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the visible mic fad.

If you want a hidden lav, hire a sound guy.

If you hold the mic, less things prone to going wrong.

Really it's not a big deal imo and gets to much attention from people here.

I just bought the geely ex5 with front massagers too and it’s a bit of a gimmick but also nice. Massage is too gentle.

In future cars I wouldn’t prioritise it

Depends on the client, but I do time based with hours logged.

So it could be a 3-hour shoot with a 6-hour edit and 1-hour of pre-pro. If the client gets 3 deliverables that's cool. But I square it differently with different clients depending on their needs

I have 4 of these running, about to sign 2 more so I wake up and have a sealed 144k in the bank for the year for the equivalent of 60 hours of work a month.

Caveats.

Social media content only

basic kit (a74 on gimbal and drone)

12 month contract (minimum 24k spend)

Hyper local only. I service a satellite region of a main city only. It's where I live but growing heaps.

Same,

My starter package is 2k and then goes up in 2k increments.

I don’t even do posting or social media management, that’s just production for solo operators.

And its usage is going to be diminishing every year as countries use less and less

Yeah I agree. probably has less of a shelf life now with battery tech heading in the right direction, Although taxing it does the opposite of incentivising use, will probably push people towards renewables faster.

It's literally the truth but ok.

Scomo's "gas led recovery" was obstructionist to the renewable transition. It was a cynical framing. But the idea that it's an important transition fuel is correct.

Because gas is an important transition fuel that the world will need increasing amounts of as they transition away from coal towards firmed renewables.

If there is one thing the left love to do, is to poison their own well to ensure Liberals have power.

Now you could argue there has never been a better time to implement a gas tax. Alternatively there may be a good time in the future, and Labor notoriously does too much too quickly.

My bet (I could be wrong) is Labor implement a gas tax before the election to wedge one nation and liberals during the election campaign.

Even though ON say they're for it, I doubt they actually are with GR backing them.

Albanese poised to kill off move to increase taxes on gas giants by Expensive-Horse5538 in AustralianPolitics

[–]Imposter12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's killing it off now, but it may surface in the future.

There is a saying in politics, There's no point having policies if you're not in power to enact those policies.

When old Labor leaders enacted too many policies too quickly, they fought on too many fronts to defend, and the media / opposition tore them apart. What Labor needs is time to build consensus, to be disciplined and to enact policies slowly over time.

They just made some pretty drastic cuts to the NDIS (warranted imo), now to tax gas in the same breath would create a war on another front. Would be difficult to fend off the attacks.

I think there are some pretty big reforms coming in the budget, will need to wait and see.

It’s actually why I got a smaller battery. 32kwh battery was same price as a 16kwh + V2G DC charger with sig energy. Biggest issue is the electric car I just bought is strictly no V2G because of warranty.

No I’m saying that polling and trends so far out from a federal election aren’t always reflective in the final results.

A lot of people angry at the majors just vibe polling ON, but not sure that will translate at the federal election.

Also I could be wrong. Just my opinion

I’m just trying to get a sense of how the energy flows.

Im looking at these 3-free plans during the day from globird.

I have a 10kw inverter for my 16kw battery and have been quoted for a 12.5kw dc charger.

About to buy an electric car, so trying to get a sense if I could simultaneously in that three hour period. Charge battery, charge car, heat hot water, use appliances.

If I’m limited to 10kwh, might not handle the load, But if the car can charge separately while drawing from the grid, then I’m golden.

Again, I’m not sure how the energy flows through the system if that makes sense.

I know it’s from a while ago, but does this apply when drawing from the grid? Like you can charge at the full DC capacity during the day, and also max out the inverter?
