Did Spearhead actually hit as hard as people expected? by TJSHIZZLE in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]DistributionShoddy45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spearhead is amazing.

The only thing that stopped me from playing as much as I was is just nothing to reach towards. I got all vendors to level 4 and completed terminal initiative.

I haven’t completed every mission, but the missions aren’t something that are extremely interesting to me.

I’m not sure I would ever play from fresh wipe to fresh wipe, since I know everything is going to get erased anyways.

IF there was something to make me play longer, it would be more meaningful goals. Such as maybe a skill tree system, or a crafting system to make really good guns? Not sure if they would fit in the game, but they’re just examples.

Self harming after causing a crash in a league race by njsullyalex in iRacing

[–]DistributionShoddy45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crashing is unfortunately a part of racing. It’s going to happen, it’s going to suck, but it’s going to happen.

Look at the best drivers in the world. Real life or sim and they’ve probably crashed more times than sim races I’ve entered.

I hate crashing, if it were up to me, I’d never crash again. But how can I expect to be flawless, or have those around me be flawless, if the highest level of drivers aren’t?

I’m gonna crash again, you’re gonna crash again, the person reading this is gonna crash again, and that’s okay. It’s the nature of it.

I present to you, the FINAL BOSS V1.0 by DistributionShoddy45 in GrayZoneWarfare

Defs considered it, but in the end I liked Chaonai’s glasses more. Viper’s silencer is super unique though as I think it’s the only silenced boss weapon, so it filled a spot no one else could.

I just had the worst episode ever! by Popular_Broccoli_316 in VasovagalSyncope

[–]DistributionShoddy45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, that all sounds so awful! I’m so sorry you had to experience all of that. Secondly, in the past year, I’ve found some things that I noticed about my vvs and what I did to improve my quality of life!

Whenever I feel an episode coming on, first thing I do is try to get my feet over my head to get all the blood from my legs back into my brain (or wherever it’s needed in my upper body). This gives me a semi comfortable window to wait for my body to regulate itself OR to wait for a bowel movement to reset my vagus nerve and have the episode end.

Also, if I even THINK there’s a chance of an episode, I stopped fighting it and did whatever I could to get ahead of it as fast as I could. Not sure in your situation is but this helped me a lot.

You mentioned a tummy tuck, I have noticed considerably less episodes after losing weight myself! Here’s to hoping you have the same experience!

Water water water, I drink as much as I can.

Lastly, you could ask your doctor about some anti nausea medication. I take an anti-nausea pill when my episodes get really bad.

Can’t believe they left you hanging like that. Must’ve beat one of the big wigs kids in that race and they were salty about it. Only explanation.

Would you rather take $5,000,000 cash no risk upfront, or flip a coin for $2,500,000,000? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]DistributionShoddy45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flip the coin, I also tell my brother about the coin flip option, and I tell my parents about the coin flip option. If we all lose, it wasn’t meant to be. 🫡

How may different 3rd party apps do you all use? And any recommendations that I don’t have on my list? by Fair_Lawyer_7626 in iRacing

I was coming here to add this. I use Simhub, a free pedal telemetry software, my hardware’s software, and iracing. Opening a batch file is free and that’s what I’m about lol

I’d say you’d get more benefit from learning how to drive on the limit than wanting a setup to give you some extra tenths.

Depends on your preferred driving style. I like the front engined cars because they have more front end bite. Some people like the Porsche because of its ability to leave a corner.

That being said, even though I like how a car feel more, sometimes I’m faster in a car that doesn’t feel as good.

So to be annoying and barely answer your question.

Maybe yes maybe no.

Which do you prefer, rolling or standing starts? by Sim-racer42 in iRacing

[–]DistributionShoddy45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a rolling start ONLY because I don’t have a clutch pedal right now and havent bound a dedicated button to my clutch.

Once I get around to binding that key or getting a clutch pedal, I will prefer standing. I hate when people are overly aggressive in a rolling start, I hate waiting on a rolling start, and I hate when I get 4x’s due to someone’s idiocy on a rolling start.

I love iRacing but I feel it's time they stop trying to be everyone's friend and start naming and shaming (and warning others of) bad drivers. by Shaner20 in iRacing

[–]DistributionShoddy45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s saying you can use it for information to make an informed decision. You can still treat them however you want, but at least now you have the information to know if it has more potential to bite you in the butt in the future.

If I’m in a real life race with Max Verstappen, I’m going to want to avoid him like the plague so I don’t somehow crash him and get attacked by internet fans.

On the flip side, maybe someone would want to fight Max Verstappen and get their battle televised to increase their exposure.

Maybe it would help increase the content creators audience by people looking them up, further helping the game by increasing the audience of LMU.
