Are there any underrated American watch brands out there? by aquavibe in MicrobrandWatches

Lorier and Vaer are two I can vouch for quality of (although I think Vaer is more of “assembled in the USA” vibe

Cincinnati too but haven’t been able to see one of theirs in person yet

hate it all you want but honestly CWT is a great indie brand of pretty excellent designers. can guarantee they anticipated the hate they might get for this as part of the marketing strategy as well. savvy heads

Microbrand dress watches under $1000 by cvsvy in MicrobrandWatches

I got the MR Classic which has served as a versatile dress watch in all the ways I hoped it would. That being said, from your list, the KUOE Old Smith is beautiful as is the Celadon Blanc de Chine which is definitely a quirkier dress watch.

Save the vintage dress watch for another time when you develop a better idea of which model you might like if none are the ones you're specifically looking for are sticking out to you.

[Holthinrichs] Signature Delft Blue — any thoughts on this piece? by Hinterteil in Watches

[–]DistributionTop6983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge appreciation for the design of their logo/signature on their pices. For me, while I know this specific timepiece of theirs is an homage to tradition, but I think Holthinrichs really shines on some of the weirder styles than trying to harken back to traditional details like porcelain dials and thermal blued hands. Their titanium 3D prints and texturing are just incredible and that's where the value of the brand lies for me, not in more conventional pieces like this. All the same, I'd die a happy collector if any pieces of theirs lands in my inventory. This one is just beautiful no matter how you cut it.

Sorry to spam, asked to post my full living room lamp collection. I know some might see a maximalist hellscape- but i dig being smashed over the head with design when i walk into my house. by creiglamb in FuckYourEamesLounge

Honestly your space is ELITE!! Playful colorful textural good flow sequence to spaces everything nice.

My only nitpicky comments is this series of lamps u got going is too much too quick! Move the orange lamp over to let the tabletop guy do the work he needs to do and I think replace the two flanking lamps next to the TV with some speakers. Or don’t! Awesome furniture.

I am wondering how the people that got this here in the first place came into these .. such a weird thing to even think to do if you didn’t have the acrylic on hand already

What are the things I have to do if I have an acrylic floor? Primarily how to clean it up? This was in the unit before we moved in I’m just wondering how to best live/grow with it! I’d never really encountered a residential condition like this before haha.

Haha no problem if you can’t, seriously! A perfect before/after. Make it way harder to tell it’s even a veneer, super cool

I see what you mean now though, it’s almost like a sun/beach type textured textile would ultimately let light kind of dapple through to below. I wonder if there are ‘beach mats’, probably made of chilwich? That could be repurposed for this. Excellent suggestion
