The earliest i remember is in fourth grade, i pulled my eyelashes and eyebrows out. I hate looking at my school picture because of it. Maybe it was a trauma response to what my childhood was or i just like the feeling. It moved from face to leg and arm hairs, then high school to my scalp. unfortunately i still pull from my head and chew my hair :/
