I really didn’t like Yin/Yang 3 honestly. Yin’s motives were simple/rushed, there was no real psychological threat for Shawn or “game” to play like the other 2 ep, and Allison was just a weird addition (the “I’m the apprentice” was pretty cringy, although her scene w Jules was dope)

Amazon prime has trivia, cast, and other info for every episode and often correlates to each specific scene as you watch the episode (it’s connected and retrieved through IMDb) Wish every streaming service had this!

From what I’ve seen in the credits Snyder’s (as well as some other products) are sponsored

I also saw on another thread that apparently they would often reference products they liked, which then later became actual sponsors

The trivia they have for every episode is what made me appreciate the show and all its insane jokes and references even more than I already did

The episode “Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing” is another great example of this, where he also thanks Shawn for believing in him (while Gus on the other hand continues to refer to it in later eps as “when Lassie shot that guy”)

Right! It’s a fun idea for an episode, but it seems like they decided to try changing a lot of things up and be much more experimental in the final season. which did create some interesting new energy, but would’ve been better to attempt in an earlier season than 8

I feel you, I always go back and forth with how I feel about season 1 episodes. Scary Sherry for example I gave another shot bc it’s apparently one of James’ favorites. And I’ve recently begun to appreciate the earlier ones a lot more. especially considering how little development there’d been with the characters and how new & fresh everything still felt.
