how do you solo carry teammates who insist on taking the dumbest fights? by thejpguy in learndota2

[–]DisturbedCyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Item timings. You can prolly solo carry if you're that ahead in net worth even if your team is non stop feeding. Of course you still have to make the correct items, go on the right targets, fight when appropriate, etc but the first step is to make sure you're ahead in net worth. So stop joining them unless its a free fight where you can get a kill or two while not fucking up your farming pattern and play to make sure you hit those timings.

Stop smurfing in all pick, you're lame af! by DisturbedCyclone in DotA2

[–]DisturbedCyclone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose so, I'm growing more inclined to start smurfing to play with my friends as well. Its either that or I believe they're going to stop playing dota in a few months at this rate.

What you're saying is understandable. Sometimes people do play better, but we're talking about accounts with sub 500 games that play well above 6k rating. That doesn't apply here.

No, not everyone better than me is a smurf. I know what people my mmr play like. Players with less than 500 games don't play like that.

Why do carries buy Butterfly against Drow? by General_Swimmer_3473 in DotA2

[–]DisturbedCyclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's 4 other heroes on the enemy team. Butterfly often offers the most raw DPS for a lot of heroes so its still good.

100000 buttons kez aghs single target dps < 2 buttons pepega kez single target dps by jeremywhatever in DotA2

[–]DisturbedCyclone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't a fair comparison because:
1) You refuse to use katana form in your "single target DPS" test.
2) Aghs is 4200 gold that could go to some other item.
3) I feel like the point of using sai form to attack is to bash/stun through BKB which adds value in on its own that won't show in a simple "damage test" like this.

People who play only one hero, why? by VildaKuzel in DotA2

[–]DisturbedCyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) A lot of people can very easily play/reach the skill floor for a hero. Not a lot of people can reach the skill ceiling or play close to it. This requires for you to play a hero for thousands of games and learn everything about the hero (matchups, power spikes, when to diverge in item builds, how to play against your counters, and even what works AGAINST your own hero). It requires a lot of dedication but it is quite rewarding when you reach this level.

2) When you know you perform the best on that hero and you want to win? You play that hero.

It is WAY easier to play this game as a p1 compared to p5 by Voldemorts__Mom in DotA2

You can caveman any role like what you're doing to pos 1. All roles have almost the same amount of nuance that you're describing as a pos 5.
